  2. His sire Desert Star is out of Della Russ but not Amazing Pharo ( Kelvins "Bill" dog) who was killed before the litter were concieved. They did a son/mother mating by putting a dog out of Pharo (bill) and Della called Delightful Cruise back to his mother Della and indicated Bill was the sire so they could register the pup's (plus Bill had a very good reputation as a coursing dog) Stiil very very well bred and ideal for an outcross. All the best with your pup

  7. Totally agree with that. Also Kippers old dogs, "Tramp" and "cruiser" were both good consistent animals, there was also a black dog "Scout" that won a northern comp i think it was the 89-90 season, can't quite remember the owners name, but pretty sure he was from Bury/Heywood area. ..Ben Bolly owned Scout, got him off a lad in Bury at 18 months old and the young dog had seen nothing. He was a genuine 3/4 bred, being off a fist cross to one of Fred Prestons saluki's. If you ask Kipper, Wilber, Packer or any of the Manchester lads what is the best dog they've seen run its Scout, lo

  11. I know the area were Jen walks very, very well indeed, and the area were you are Russ and the Nuthatch and tree creeper are common, in fact there have never been so many Nuthatches in recent historical times with most available territories occupied. Treecreeper's have took a bit of a hammering from to harsh winters and grey squirrels but still relatively common ( Check out Darcy's squirrel proof nesting covers on relevant section ) Now, the lesser spotted woodpecker IS a rare bird in these parts, furthest north I've seen one is Staffordshire. Check out the black redstart on Pendle o

Shads were used for Halibut but they would also take pirks and follow them right to the boat Biggest cod that week was 54lb, Halibut 224ilb.
