  1. Might come along and relieve you of a few rosettes, wee man.
  2. http://news.aol.com/story/_a/dog-saved-by-...S00010000000001 Couldn't help a wee tear when I read this
  3. He's a crackin' lookin' big fella isn't he?
  4. I took this as it was meant as a joke Oh, aye. Obviously
  5. Now, as some of you may know, my wife's Bulgarian, so the last thing I am is a racist. So, in the interests of a peaceful future for us all here in the UK, I've put together a wee 'Misty's handy-tips for race-relations' guide for you lot, the first of which is below. Let me know what you think and I can get the whole series posted to you as soon as they arrive from the printers. 1) As you casually wander down the street, you may see one of our Jihad-loving cousins coming towards you. This is not something you should be worried about, a recent survey by the RSPCA (Raghead Spotters, Persecu
  6. Love this - crank yer speakers up!!! http://www.animatronics.org/strangers/strangers.htm
  7. Oh, aye... here's a couple more: (quote from my Great Uncle, who had been married 54 years at the time, as I prepared to get married the second time) Son, if you only remember one thing, remember this - It's better to be happy than it is to be right. SPOT ON! Life is like a broken DVD player - there's no rewind button... so press PLAY all the feckin time!!!
  8. If you can't bite - DON'T GROWL! Two wee tips from my old dog: A) If you got an itch - scratch it! If you can't eat it or fcuk it - p1ss on it and walk away! And least, but not least - read my signature...
  9. The bitch he just lined is the litter sister of my bitches' mother (auntie & niece in case I didn't make much sense ) A greyhound was then put over her to give me my big girl. (I spoke to Dave last weekend and he was telling me about this litter - nearly snaped his hand off but the missus would gut me like a pig! - best wait til next year, he he) SO, here's a wee idea of what you should get
  10. My Great-uncle. As my mum raised us herself, he took me out in the countryside bird-watching, teaching me about nature, taught me to play the bagpipes. Still going strong at 83 (my Auntie often asks when he's planning on growing up?) My section commander when I was in basic training. He took a 19yr old, cocky little sh1t and made something of him. He went onto bigger and better things in the forces then rejoined civvy street a couple of years ago and we're still the best of mates nearly 20yrs down the line. A man I'm proud to call friend - JH.
  11. Me and Mrs Misty just broke our hearts watching that! What a great tribute to a very special friend. As a wise man told me a few years ago - "You can always find another woman - it's soooo much harder finding a good dog!" RIP Griff
  12. Fantastic! Yet another case to prove the government wrong. When they say it's okay to shoot animals, yet so many escape wounded to die a lingering, painful death. We all know that when we used to be able to run our dogs properly, it was truly 'survival of the fittest' and it helped ensure healthy breeding stock for the future. Lucky you were there to save it from that fate - Tegan, we salute you
  13. RIP Ted, the dog world has lost another good 'un.
  14. My old dog has always been exactly the same. I reckon it's a bit like Foxtrot says - he's just clearing himself out before a bout of serious exertion. The dog knows what's coming. For those of us who have been through (or been with our partners through) childbirth will testify, one of the signs of going into labour is a bout of the squirts - the body cleaning itself out before all the exertion of pushing/ squeezing/ screaming/ punching the hell out of the father to be :boxing: )
  15. Don't have much experience of 1/2 x but this 3/4 bitch worked well for me Don't have any pics on charlie, but she had a few a while back whats she like on day time hare and lamped hares?? She used to do very well for herself, back-in-the-day. Used her head a lot more than I expected - suffice to say, she convinced me that's the type of cross I'll be keeping from here on in.

  17. Ah, what a day THAT was! However, if you don't mind, I'll keep that one for another time? Can't have too much excitement at once, eh? Cheers for the comments guys'n'gals. FTB Kev
  18. Spot on Mark. It's always worth a trip out, you never know what you'll find. I suppose that's part of the attraction for us, eh?
  19. I was out lamping with my deerhound cross last night and as we lamped a rabbit in one particular field, I was reminded of a similar night many moons ago - before the b4n - (although the memory is as fresh in my mind as if it were yesterday) when I lamped this same field with my old bitch (ain't it funny with this type of cross, how they all look so similar? Hell, looking at old photos of the old girl and looking at my current one in the flesh, they could be peas in a pod) Anyway, back to my tale; it was blowing well with a good helping of H2o from the heavens. We had travelled south of the bo
