Made me chuckle too!! Although I did hear of a Chinese water deer wacking up a beddy whippet with nun chucks once.

My dogs took 2.5 months to get to the point where I could get her back out from exactly the same thing, a slice running down the side of the stopper so everytime she bent her wrist it pushed it open. She chewed out two lots of staples and in the third after cutting away the dead flesh it finally healed.

I'm lucky, I live 10 mins outside north London in a university town and have land to hunt pretty much on my doorstep thats coated with gear. Not much permission mind but as there's hardly anyone round my way with lurchers it's pretty much mine for the taking and as long as I'm respectful ie closing gates, not lamping houses and being tidy I shouldn't have any problems. Hopefully lol
