  1. You say they were riddled with fleas , its possible they had become anemic , were there gums very pale almost white /grey in colour also this might be off use http://www.all-about-ferrets.com/aplastic-...in-ferrets.html
  2. dont forget your ferret ferret what ferret
  3. So would you agree that if you collar up a ferret & the batterys fail or for some reason the collar comes off , schooling the ferret to come to your call would act as a good back up if the electronic stuff fails
  4. So you took the trouble to get your ferrets to come to you when they were babys , ie the bonding point i was trying to make earlier that was jumped on ,
  5. ok your point regarding ' rescues dont get many ferrets in with collars on'' was answered by me, it does happen its either down to duff batterys or the people couldnt be ared to dig , i didnt say knocker boxes shouldnt be used , if for some reason the batterys fail while the ferrets at work thats bad luck especially if you have checked them prior. I didnt explain myself very well
  6. Err wrong i took 4 ferrets with mark 1 collars on in the space of 12 months, I am reading a book dated back to 1945 , the auther sugests all new stock should be taught to come to there masters call, e describes how to do it when there kits , he also believes that using a chatty jill will drive the prey into the nets , couple that with the fact the ferret comes to your call , its common sence to me after reading that How many without collars? look the point is regardless of weather you use a knocker box or not the basics like bonding with said ferrets/s is a must , using a bo
