i have not measured the dogs height do i measure to the top of the front leg where it rounds off

I dont think people realise the damage it does when an animal carrys way to much weight , you would think a greyhound owner would know better though, sadly another dog who would probably die before its time

I do think love them or loath them, theres a lot off calls they must get just like this, waste of fuel if you ask me when they maybe could be dealing with an animal thats been neglected or whatever

A lot off the vets charge the same as a cat for consultation , the vet i have been using are good last year they only charged me 30 quid for all that stuff for gloria But i have paid a lot more for a lot less

Well i am supprised i am not angry ,i will find out who did it , i just feel a bit deflated really , i am tempted to put her coat on her now when i walk her , but at the end of the day the bloke who came was happy as soon as he saw what type off dog she was , its not as if you can see her spine now like you could 6 weeks ago so i know she has gained weight Maybe a few yrs ago i would have gone beserk , but i must have mellowed in me old age

Idont know whats wrong with people round here, every other house has a dog off some kind & i see at least 3 people come past with greyhounds or lurchers everyday . Its not troubled me in any way, but why the hell dont folks just ask , i would willingly bore the arse off them with what she used to do & what she is like now, maybe i look totally unapproachable for some reason, i dunno

the consultations usually the bulk of the bill , if you get a good service for a reasonable price thats great but i know a lot of people who pay £ 30 quid before the animals even seen seen , fair do's your paying for there ''expertise'' but finding a ferret savvy vet can be hard & you do tend to hang on to them if you do

To add to the heatstroke peice ]] wet bath sheets drapped over the top of cages can help cool the insides & alo the freezer blocks in a sock placed in the enclosed areas can also help & a fan running on the area as well providing your home incase it rains

If they had seen her 6 weeks ago then i would have agreed , she was thin , but as she had half her insides removed i am hardly supprised , its just i suspect people have fat overweight dogs & think anything thats not huge is being starved

I take the greyhound out about half a dozon times a day because i dont have grass on the back for her to empty her tank on , she only does it on grass , so its no hardship to pop on a lead & off we go for 10 mins On returning less than an hour ago there was an RSPCA van outside & the bloke got out & spoke to me , they had been phoned about a thin dog , Less than a min passed by & he was satisfied & on his way, i just wish people would ask first before assuming the animal is starved or something I am not bitter , angry annoyed i will find out who it was &

I think vets charge what the hell they like , some yrs ago i took a blind cat i found & then kept till he died as i needed him weighing so i could worm him, he wasnt checked over, the only thing that took place was he was weighed & worming tablest were dispenced they charged me £ 35 for that The following week i took a male cat for a castrate , i was charged £ 30 quid for that You cant guarantee what the final price will be untill you have been seen , i wont take animals for anything now other than very routine stuff like neuters or if its a major emergency
