If she had been bitten or stung wouldnt she have hypersalivated , there was no sighns off that when she panted, but she is back to normal now So the lessons i have learned are take water with me on walks incase it happens again & i will look at heartworm & then take it from there & get it treated if thats what it is Thanks to everyone for the valuable advice its much appreciated

Never ever let her run or jump with food in the stomach.   9. well before all this kerfuffle with the dog i managed to get a couple of pics of her then the batterys died She isnt keen on the camera flash so looks away when the camera comes out , so its dificult to get a nice pic off her now even when the flash isnt needed
  10. sounds like she's had a mild concussion, maybe banged into your terrier or something when she's been running...same thing happend to my bitch after chasing a rabbit, she became very sluggish about 15mins or so after the chase and had to be lifted back to the car but she recovered on the way home. the only sympoms if you like was the panting & the fact she was very slow & kept stopping , she didnt attempt to lie down & her legs didnt give way under her , she wasnt limping , what allerted me was she looked like she was going to throwup so i quickly removed the muzzle &

  13. She appears fine right now, maybe i worried to much in the first place & she was knackered , but she means such a lot to me i couldnt bare to loose her to something i should be genned up on & something that could have been prevented by me

Well as quick as she went very distresed , she has now walked from the crate, stretched tail wagging & dived her head in the peddle bin looking for food as though nothing happened , so after mithering me to the point of a bloody breakdown she appears fine I will watch her for the rest off the day & make sure she dosent start coughing or get any worse Thanks for the replies & advice everyone, much appreciated

I took the dogs a walk a litle while ago & the greyhound had a short run, no more than a few seconds & she then just plodded along with the terrier, we went on a field & she had a little roll round in the grass & a mooch round, then when we got back on the path that runs throug the field i put the lead back on her & she stopped, She wouldnt move & i took her muzzle off & she was really panting , she then walked back home very slowley i loosened her collar a bit , she didnt collapse or go off her legs & it had been around 5 hours since her feed , she wasnt r

  19. I spent a weekend at Shugborough earlier this year & watched a chap called Mick dadd making nets all weekend , his hands were like lightning , very quickly made a net & good ones as well

  23. if you have bred from a line of proven workers that go back at least 3 -5 generations then chances are they will all be good workers and if you do cull at birth you will never know if they were shit or brilliant and you will get on with what you have ....... but as i stated you may bang all the goodun's keep all the shite come ferreting season your left with the wankers now what do you do? well obviously they would take them all down to their local rescue in a nice cat basket with a fleece blankie and let them all get adopted to naice pet homes with people who would look after them
