  1. If the lad wanted a fluffy pink '' hiya hun'' response then he should have posted on a fluffy '' carpet shark'' forum, he claimed to find a jill with a missing leg & at the time hadnt posted saying the animal had been given veterinary attention. folks simply replied to the information given simples

    GRASSERS

Its just double standards with most folks, if something personally effects them then they no doubt grass, but then when it isnt there issue or problem & someone else grasses there the scum of the earth
  3. I have had good results with the frontline spray on ferrets when they have been plastered in them , but i would use a tick picker for the odd couple

    new ink

I like that a lot. the lines look nice & clean , very nice. can see why your pleased with it
  5. As already pointed out good quality food, if your only feeding the jill dry , start to feed meat to her as well , what i would do is add any raw meat to the cage in the evenings when its cooler , once the kits get to around 3 weeks old they will start to attack the meat themselves Just remove any meat that left the following morning
  6. I cant quite believe you havent taken a ferret with a missing leg to the vets
  7. No, she may give me the instruction not to get a puppy though....after I got one last time she went away So your getting another pup then  , well getting that house-trained in a week will will be more than enough for any man to cope with
  8. You mean she hasnt left you a list of jobs to do while she is away
  9. Johnny now they have warmed up are they quiet or making a racket ? It's all nice and quiet now Kay the foster mum as built a new nest.......the thing I'm worried more about is will the jill still have milk for them. I would assume if there suckling & content them yes, see if they start to get distressed , quite kits are usually content kits, would still keep a close watch on them & the jill though Thanks Kay we put them with the one jill as she was a little down after her kitts were taken from her........my missus is on the case so they'll get the best care available,wi

  11. Johnny , i would still prepare some milk ready, let the jill keep them warm & mother them, i had a similar problem some years ago, i let the foster jill do the mothering, but still fed them by hand , these kits were around 4 weeks old though & were chomping on meat as well . To be honest all you can do is try , if she has no milk you will have to carry on with the supplimentry feeds if they have a chance of surviving. Other thing to watch is the foster jill , if she is still producing milk she may well end up with milk fever something else i have experienced when they give ther
  12. Ron my vasectomised hob had one teste swell , it was testicular cancer, he was castrated , which i thought was a small price to pay for the service he provided
  13. if there albinos the slits where the eyes are will be pink, if there going to be silvery ones the slits will be dark
  14. Good effort Patrick, the more you do the better you get
  15. Chief Bromden: Mmmmmm, Juicy Fruit.
  16. I used to feed them daily with other foods but the ferrets developed coughs , after keeping them off chicks a few weeks they came good , it was the down irritating the throat , so i wouldnt feed them as a staple or daily from that experience
  17. I genuinely think kits survive on dry food , not thrive. they are certainly more nippy when fed on dry watered down food , from personal experience kits fed on whole carcass come on a lot better than the ones fed on dry food , all experience gained by learning the hard way
  18. well the band I have seen the most is AC/DC at least 6 times . but i like lots of music from Pink Floyd to Vivaldi & everything in-between
  19. No comma needed between ghosts and see Someone didn't get honey on his porridge yesterday morning did they John .
  20. obviously a birth defect , I wouldn't breed from the same ferrets again & certainly wouldn't breed from any of the kits if they survive Because some sad twat somewhere will find a market for '' manx'' ferrets
  21. Have you ever looked at this scientifically, or looked at what's more likely? You saw a dark shape whilst squinting at the sun which disappeared later. Stare at any light and you will see a dark circle for a few seconds, why would you jump to a supernatural explanation? Or even if there was a person walking and they proceeded to fall down a hole, which then unfortunately collapsed etc it would still be more likely than a supernatural explanation. We know holes exist, we know how gravity works and we know it could happen, we also know what can't happen. There is a very simple scientific answer
  22. Woah Kay your giving me the heebie jeebies there...............reminds me of a Keeper i know who was out on the Estate one day walking his dogs when his terrier just bolted off. He shouted and shouted on it but it ran full tilt away from him never looking back. After searching for a while, with no luck he soon got contacted and was told that his son had just been killed in a car accident.. The dog was back in the kennel all of 20 miles away........ Now i dont believe in ghosts but when a man tells you something like that after just loosing a son then i believe that dogs have some kind of si
