Why block out all the light? They still have to see the feeders and drinkers. The heaters also need a good airflow.(If the air smells off open a window a little bit) Do you have a "Hot spot " in the middle under the heater? Lots of questions,but unless you tell us what the size and set up is.It will be difficult to guess an answer to it ? How old are they? What size huts. Are they still alive but just bunched up? Is it only at night or all day? Can you adjust the heaters? How do you regulate the temp?( I dont use a thermometer,just look at the chicks!)Against the wall of the shed.

I dont think anyone will advocate killing all the BOP,s.But control where control is neccessary,by the people who are having problems.( and are without doubt the best placed people to deal with it!) I am allowed to control most other types of vermin and foxes ect.All I would need is a license to control BOP,s in a certain area for a limited amout of time.(6 to 8 weeks). There is no way we could endanger the population as a whole,because of all the other ground not under any kind of license or control. Any introductions back into our very artificial countryside,should be taken with a pinch of salt! A few VERY high profile predators for the WOW factor and the PR. Controlled by the "Raptor group" of course! They may be spectacular birds, BUT, Why cant we have as much effort into getting the song birds back .! Even the humble sparrow is in decline! Why do people get "bitchy" when someone tells it like it is! John hides nothing,The good and the not so good comes out . Because thats REAL LIFE! Shit happens from time to time and we can only pray to resolve a problem as quick as we can. If you plan on advertising pups on GUMTREE.Your advert will be screened by the ARSPCA! They took off my add and the letter under my reply is what they had to say. Thank you for your reply, Unfortunately the RSPCA has once again gone beyond common sense! My advert CLEARLY said that the puppies would be ready the 2nd or 3rd week in JULY! Chip every single dog! Then the rescue and stray centres could scan the dog and charge for putting the dog up and its return .Save the country a fortune! If you dont transfer the chip details when you sell the dog ,then its YOU that gets charged if the dog is abandoned or lost. Give these puppy farmers and " couldnt give a sh** merchants", something to think about if they new it would all come back on them!!! After 5 years,every stray caught without a collar or a chip should be put down. If you cant afford £10/20 to get your dog chipped ,then you cant afford a dog! ps, My d

I have to replace 4 possibly 6, 8x8 brooder huts and night shelters this year . They have to have floor and decent roof as well as treated timber. Seeing as I am up near Aberdeen the delivery would be a pain for most of the available commercial ones.So I thought maybe one or two of the members on here might know of a good supplier or Joiner who makes these things local? or at least Scotland?
