    definitely work on her retrieve NOW. Each rabbit she doesnt retrieve reinforces the habit (non retrieving) and it will be a lot harder to teach later, and she will be an unreliable retriever at best. A bit of time spent now will make a big difference. Very nice bitch BTW.

    Just as many get away. Its unreal there. Am into me lampin but i have the permission on this farm so i just take a couple mates up each winter. Its a good laugh doesnt matter how many times you go or how many rats you kill they still make the hardest of men SCREAM when they run at you. . . A big old mate of mine,used to work on the door of some clubs, had to have a sit down one time when a rat ran up his stick he was using to poke under some pallets! Legs turned to jelly! :blush:

    Written off at a year old? Do you not know that chasing and retrieving a ball-or anything, is using the dogs hunting instinct? And blaming the breeder for this "fault"!!! She will HUNT a ball for hours-a very short step to becoming a good rat/rabbit hunting dog IMO. :doh: :doh: Try golf.

    Ramadam is here again. The one time of the year when muslims cannot eat or drink within the hours of daylight,they just starve. Never has the term "not enough hours in the day" been more f*****g appropriate!

    Each to their own hedz. They dont make good pets as they need a lot of stimulation to keep them occupied or they find other outlets-aggression is often displayed by working terriers of all types when the hunting instinct is not channeled- plummers are especially fiery when not worked regularly. I've always found if you keep them busy you have no problems with over aggression.
