    SCUM

Smithfield used to be a great spot - the only place I know you could buy a lurcher that was the "best hare dog in the country" for the price of 20 carrolls!
  18. I know exactly where you're coming from rodge, i've a parson bitch here that does the exact same she'l come back to you in the yard first time everytime but as soon as she touches grass thats it.... gone til she decides to come back
  19. u should find out how she died only 4 years old? sorry to hear that pal +1 You'd be better off finding out what killed her before bringing a pup into the yard, what if the pup dies then? atb,
  20. This lad is 1/4 Glen, he likes nothing better than trying to throttle the parson bitch that i have here He hasn't seen anything workwise that would be worth talking about, as at just over a year I find him still very immature

    goats galore

Thanks for sharing, that was a good read - goats really would try to eat anything, i'd say a large herd like that would do some damage That Taz really looks the part, worth a small fortune that dog
  22. I see the odd wild one out ferreting but usually they arrive here in their thousands around mid January from Scotland & the UK and feed on alder seeds close to river banks and when this food is depleted they hit the peanuts in garden feeders, 3 or 4 years ago it would be normal to see up to 40 siskins in the garden around late January/early February, last year they were far and few between & this year I have not seen one. I have five or six aviary bred pairs that will call them in when they hear them flying over but they are just not here this year. I put it down to weather patterns,
  23. That was well put together, the siskin is a beautiful little bird that is much missed around our area, it must be 10 years or more since i saw a wild one
  24. Is that near Hoorn? I worked on the other side in Almera, laying fiber-optic cable - plenty of wildlife about
  25. I'm only after seeing this thread SG, if i'd seen it sooner i would have been out to you, I'm glad to hear poppy turned up for you safe and sound and that you got offers of help off some of the lads
