  3. go to shows evry week in the summer , and have only entered my dogs on a handfull of ocations. i remmember last year at the end of the season being at a show in suffolk, and to be honest there wasn't a dog at that show i would want to own. anyway one of the classes was for working dogs, i was a bit connfussed as i thought i was at a working lurcher show. any way i thought feck it and entered visa who i must point out was in rock hard shape( like me) some of you who have seen her know she has one or two scars from following hares through hedges. she is admittedly not the best lo
  4. i have also owned a whipp/grey, they do put a lot in to there running. and can also put game in the bag other dogs wouldn't , but like evrything the down side can be them getting injured, but i love them they are great fun. good luck with the new dog

  6. yes tree sets for trapping squirrels are very good, just make sure its a tree they are using, also on fence's you cantrap them here as well. here are some pics. i personaly dont use live traps for squirrels , but the same principles aply. the traps in the pics are fenn mk 6 set in a wire mesh tunnel and a kania trapp but you could also use a bodygripp trapp. good luck TOMO
  7. lamping , coursing, poodle, you must be talking about fieldmarshals dog
  8. i always inoculat my dogs , and to be honest you would be a fool not to. however i dont bother with boosters as i think most people now realize that vets have been missinforming people about boosters and how important they are. but if mick wants the the dogs who get through to the final with there boosters up to date, then thats fine. u cant blame him for being carefull. so i will go and get there bosters done as im pretty sure i will be meeting him come november

  15. you will learn with experiance the best place to put them. to start with look at the warren you are about to do if there is another warren near by or bramble bushes or any refuge you think the rabbit may use then that is the side of the warren you want to put your net. you may be able to curve the net partialy around the warren wich can help. its all about thinking like the rabbit and getting the net between where you think he will go for. happy pegging [bANNED TEXT]

  20. yes [bANNED TEXT] you can use them for Mink, just bait with fish heads. but you would have to take care not to trap otter. they can also be used for rat , stoat and weasle. i belive in the U.S and Canada, there are larger versions for fox coyoty and other speicies. if any of our trappers from over there have any pics i would love to see them TOMO
  21. well its that time of year again, the squirrel jobs are comming in thik and fast. at the momment i have 5 diffrent squirrel jobs on, all in peoples loft spaces. but heres some pics, of a set , thats outside. the squirrels bordering this garden use the fence as a run . these are usualy good spots for a set. here's a close up of the trigger mechanisium , you can also see the killing bar some bait on the fence the post top was sloping, so put a blob of peanut butter on there to stop the nuts rolling off reset and ready for more squirrels
