How was she as a pup and young bitch Tomo? Was she easy to train, or did she drive you nuts till she matured? Frank. SHE was easier to train than the kelpie cross very liad back , she seemed to just take in any command, i tought her to sit in 5 mins flat

i was wrighting my above post whilst rebel posted, but his post highlights what i have said i have a line bred coursing dog, with a good chunk of saluki in it rebel, she has got in to the top 30's lamping on small paddocks , took hare when it was legal (8 year old) will sit on hand signal, jump retrive like a lab, evrything you would expect from most lurchers,

i have one with both saluki and collie in a pup mind. but to be honest its this exact reason why theres so many arguments on here, most lurcher lads are so set in there ways, they read somthing , or see one or two dogs of a certain type that dont perform, and they think there all like this. NAROWMINDED is a word that comes to mind. look at the thread about the malamute cross, lads are arguing and saying they cant do this or that, but have never seen one work LURCHERMEN ARE NOT OPEN MINDED ENOUGH .

i read somewhere there a cross between , greyhound, bull , and pointer, of course there line bred now, and have proberbly had other bits added from time to time

there have been lots of people saying they dont let there dogs have water on this thread. but as yet, not one of you has given a reason???? as for the last reply, dogs being unfit get real fella, if a dogs working hard giving it a drink water is a benafit to it. and if ya think my dogs are unfit, take a look at my old posts and whats all these matcho replys, "there working dogs" implying they dont need a drink.

sho8, what cross is your dog, as you said it wasnt a half cross, ???? is it a 3/4 grey x 1/4 deer??? or has it got other breeds in there collie ect. whatever the breeding be carfull, those big fast running machines can have problems with groth plates, one of the reasons greyhounds cant run on the track till 16 month

Whin your welcome to come and have a look at my deerhound x run next season. no way is she second rate, im not just saying that becuase she is mine. ive seen many different types of lurchers run and to be honest the deerhound x has shone through the lot of them, im not saying that other crosses are no good (far from it) just my prefured x now thats all thats a very bold statement sh 08, concidering you said in the next post the dog is only 9 month old. shone through other dogs you have seen and its only 9 month we all have high hopes for the pups we run on , and at times

NEVER GIVE MY DOGS WATER WHEN OUT LAMPING IF YOUR DOGS FIT HE SHOULD COPE.IF HES UNFIT AND OVER WEIGHT THEN U COULD HAVE SOME TROUBLE Never give it any water can i ask why????? as whin says early in the season when the nights are warm, i give them water very regularly. not only water to drink , but also get them in the rivers or cattle troffs, to cool down

a few of us have complained to lightforce, i sent them a real sarcastic e mail a few year back, so did others from these sites they did reply to my email, appologising for the problems, but not alot more. in fact it would be a good idea for evryone that has had probs, emailing them again

look at the posting times ,how often have i heard this ,some people are thick fare play ,and i dont do week ends .like i said its a job to me ,that is why i can pick my nights and times , Most of your posts are when its dark and if you don't do weekends how come you posted today that would be a Saturday or in your world is that not the weekend danw , i think 2good means he dont hunt weekends so of course he can post at weekends. none of us old poachers hunted at the weekends, left that for the daft weekend crews that fell out the pub at 11.30 , . nowadays i only bot

I HAVE to say i was embarrased by the numbers, especialy as it was on my land , i would have loved to have got them on more, bu as torchy said, the conditions wernt great, with a big old moon out. on the pluss side i enjoyed the night and enjoyed the crack with torchy and big boy, and look forward to them coming up for a proper run in the autumn
