    20 traps an hour, in the right conditions ?,....thats good going (i dont doubt it,..),.....but me, id be doing well too set 10 (half- barrels, that is ?), in that time ?,....ha ha (told you i was slow ! ),...if i managed the 10 in the hour (be doing well,.. ),......i would be setting for what i thought,.... was one mole (two's a bonus),.....& if i got more than one , miss ??(bunged up, trap,etc), out of the ten, id be disappointed ! (it happens , of course ),.......just a 'personal' thing, for me,.....cause when i tried too 'rush' it , in the early days,...i got alot more 'fails' ?,

    one of my farmers told me, once , there was a mole catcher, advertising (that year),... (national magazine) at half the rate, i am per mole ?,.....i said , " you better get him in , then ? ",....he goes, ...."no, thats alright,...just thought id say" ,.....turns out the guy was just doing it ,to get interest, for any initial enquiries, when he wangled a visit for a survey, anywhere,...... it was a different story,...& his 'low rate', was out the window ! ha ha

    Well, since your still a little 'vague', here , on it ,.....that wee probe is light, & a smaller diameter bar & 'bullet', compared too some other commercially available, ones ?,......downside, could maybe have a 'thicker' handle (for comfort) ?,.....& can be prone too 'bending' , in stoney soil, now and again ?,........(but i prefer it , too the others) & the ' mole spade', good long shaft, as standard,& a fairly light, but strong, head/blade, for weight ?,...... I can well see the appeal, however, of travelling 'light' (particularly, on foot, like me ) so sourcing a qua

    Good on you, mate (& i know youll have your work, cut out, alot of the time ,...but , i can tell your more than 'capable') & i fully understand, the need to be 'flexible', when charging, for big numbers

    God,... i wish i had plenty of good ground, that is 'black' , with them ? lol,.....& i could get 'stuck in' ! lol ,....unfortunately now , where i am, theres alot of 'walking' involved , to mop up, not too many moles (im a 'slow fecker' anyway, Trappa, & im sure you would beat me hands down, if i had similar ground, to you, anyway )

    Apologies, if it seems 'offensive',....but , i cant see it ,....his 'tally' ?,....certain 'mole catchers' were looking for 'publicity', at the time,....& the BTMRs wee award scheme, here, was a good way too get it ?,...this was obviously going to encourage 'exaggeration' ,...with no way too properly ascertain, other than taking the persons , 'word for it' !,..........(i didnt like the idea of it , at the time, & this 'who can catch the most' , type of thing, to me, personally,......is in 'bad taste',..........dont get me wrong , im not 'knocking' anyones 'genuine' achievement, in this

    Thats true, mate !,..lol,...my own fault,really, with the 'spade', that one was for lighter ground, (well tilled, & reseeded soil, etc),...but i used it once, too often,....on heavier ground ! (stoney & heavy clay, etc),....i cant resist,trying out different ideas, for a piece of 'kit' ?,..

    A couple of my 'mole catching' tools, ended up broken, recently, ?,....This wee 'mole spade', & then soon after, my 'probe'!

    Well, all we need is "Mr Toad", caught in a trap too,...& maybe a 'billy' too catch his tongue, in the loop, perhaps ?,...& thats all the "Wind in the Willows" characters, accounted for ! lol

    A caught a weasel just like that darrenin your picture! It was a couple years back on a local perm mate, in exact same trap.thought i'd got lucky when a seen a flash of white thinking it was a albino... had plenty voles in putanges & field mice too. Them weasels definately frequent runs lookin for easy pickings im sure of it " had plenty voles in putanges & field mice too.",.....?,.....handy to know that, ..just another reason, for me not to use that 'french' trap ! Thats a no-mol trap I hold a few to use when I break into a three way, or in areas with heavy public access,never tried
