    Don't you find hay can have alot of not so nice things in it? thorns spikey things,grass seeds, other foreign objects? Just wondering cos i found that. i know some books and what not advise that straw may be a better option?

    I also layer their bedding, wood shavings at the bottom, about 3" deeep, topped off with straw, does the job lovely

    Be careful with syringing, it's really very easy to drown a ferret using this technique

    Manksie....What a strange comment?! It's common practise to keep both sexes together out of season I have three hobs and two gills living in harmony. SO THERE LD13

    In a word. no. Had ferrets for 16yrs and never had it myself. I know that ferrets living in false light situations / indoors can come in season at funky time, due to the seasons of the year usually dictating breeding season in animals. Thats what i read anyways Let us know how you get in at the vets mate. ATB LD13

    I use that stuff in the winter to mm, makes you wonder why it's not marketed as pet bedding
