  1. My vet splits one dose between two ferrets & charges me £18 for two ferrets.
  2. The less work mine get the more often they need a trim, on average once a month. I too use fleece type bedding & long claws can get caught-up.
  3. Same with mine cheap & cheerful plastic carrier bags!
  4. I know it sounds stupid but how do you know it's a deep warren? They may be working hard & exploring but can't go deep if there's no depth.
  5. £3 each is a fair price as I get the same from my butcher skinned.
  6. Hi bud, I live in Brum I'll ask my mates to see if any spare kit is available.
  7. I think I'll have a play around with some different cartridges & see if I notice any difference. Thanks for the comments lads.
  8. Just bought a Hushpower 410 fully silenced single barrel, one of my mates tells me it will become more quiet after approx 100 or so rounds through, is he right? I'm not so sure, just wondered if there was any truth in it?
  9. I too live on an estate, & yes ferrets are generally sensitive to loud noises, two of mine just about tolerate the noise but one of my Jill's freaks out, I try & exercise them in their outdoor run a bit earlier to try & tire them out & feed them up the few night & days of the fireworks, difficult time!
  10. Olive or Sunflower oil works a treat!
  11. I had two Jill's spayed last year at 8 mths old , no harm to their health £40 each at the vets.
  12. Interesting subject, I'll have to observe mine closely, keep us updated.
  13. After all of these useful opinions it looks like a mark 3 m for me then!
  14. Thanks for the offer, I thought you were looking for some permission the other day chap?
  15. Cheers for the replies & advice chaps, I was thinking of a mark1, but it's looking more & more like a mark3me thinks!
  16. Generally speaking, which is best , the mark 1, or the mark3, example reliability, ease of use, accuracy etc. As I am looking to buy one off this site soonish. Positive & negative opinions welcome.
  17. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll give it a miss.
  18. Just wondering how many out there inoculate their ferrets against canine distemper? I was at the vets the other day getting the dog jabbed & the vet said it was a good idea to do the ferrets, I've never had one go down with distemper, or is just a ploy by the vet to bleed me £20 per ferret??
