  8. My sbt has donea bit of ratting which i think he's average at but not as quick as a smaller terrier, when he has encountered charlie by accident they don't stand a chance!
  9. PDSA is a good option, but when i was out of work & had to use them they wanted to know if they were used for rabbiting, good job i was thinking on my feet & said they were only pets because otherwise they would have classed them as 'livestock' for some unknown reason & refused me!
  10. Nice dog,Definately a Bully Head on him.
  11. All of my ferrets are rescues, after they settle in with plenty of handling & a bit of work, there usually good.
  12. cracking looking dogs!! i wish i was near land like that to wander!
  13. Unfortunately having trouble uploading pics, but will give it another try, examined her tonight & it doesn@t appear any worse, Finding a vet in Birmingham that knows more than just the basics on ferrets is a problem, may have to travel to find a good one if it gets any worse.
  14. The hob she lives with is castrated & never appears to bother her, if anything she's the one that bullies him most of the time.
  15. I do have a sterilised hob in with her, i'll give it a try but do you think its the hob causing the patch?
  16. One of my Ferrets (albino Jill, age unknown as is a rescue, spayed ) ex worker of mine now retired, has a small bald patch with no fir on her back approx size of the tip of my index finger, she's had this for about 2weeks, it shows no sign of irritating her, in every other aspect she appears fine & bright, all my ferrets eat well on a meat & pellet diet, & i can see no sign of mange or ringworm. I was wodering if anybody can give me any pointers or is it nothing to be concerned about? Cheers, Dave.
  17. Good point RicW,but in my area on on average road you may have 20 shops all selling the exact same asiatic garments for exactly the same price, many have beeb busted as a front for drug laundering money & as one closes, another pops up Quicker than a bloke on Viagra!

  19. Great looking pup! they both look similar so will look good as a pair, nice one,
  20. My Staffy (Kaiser) has been ferreting with me since he was old enough to come out, he's great with the ferrets, he catches the odd rabbit, & holds them in the purse nets, by nature of his breed he has a hard mouth, but it doesn't concern me, keep training your dog, its well worth the effort.
  21. I've got a rescued jill age unknown, who behaved just the same, & yes mine bit me toe as well! she settled after 6mths or so, i think she was hand shy, she is much better now , but she still her moments, but i now her moods by now, i think kays advice was good.
