    Microchipping is far better IMO than tattooing. I had 3 dogs tattooed and they were unreadable by the time the dog had matured, re: Lurchers etc.. we know how ears can be removed easily etc.. the dog wouldnt be identifyable in that case. I wasnt keen on chipping untill the last few years, i truly believe its the only safe, secure way that cannot be altered, that will specifically identify the dog to its owner. I have had all mine done, in fact I have taken a course in it and am now qualified to microchip animals (cheaper than your vey too ) There is a very small chance of the chip mi

    No, I meant has the dog done it himself? I wouldnt of believed it when the Lab did it to herself, she literally ate the coat off her back leg and it was in strips like that pic, it was just a thought anyway. Dawn.

    I get it personally too! I have had threats against me and my dogs, from people, I personally think they are full of **it and just want to cause trouble, well they must be cowards anyway because they never use their real name! There seems to be a HUGE number of folk want to join this site each day! I just looked and there were 36 pages of members waiting to be validated!! Can that be right?

    I dont like giving anti-biotics for no reason Socks, but having KC turn into pneumonia and being left helpless, when it could of been prevented, has left me in no doubt of the seriousness of this disease, and what it can do if it isnt treated properly. Personally, (and its my choice alone,) I always treat with anti-biotics, I respect everyone else's decision to treat their dogs as they see fit. Dawn.

    Sorry to hear about your Dog. Not sure about the Pigs pancreas, but the powder can be pricey, may I ask what the Vet charged you and for what size?

    Heres my advice, based on boarding upto 116 dogs at any given time and with my own. Kennel cough is very indescriminate it can and does affect some dogs and not others, dogs living in the same house will not all automatically get it. Whenever I see kennel cough, I treat with anti-biotics, I didnt once and had a dog left with pneumonia and a damaged heart, never again. I also give a course of anti-biotics to the other dogs in the house, I, and still now have never had another dog infected with it having been given anti-biotics.     Azawahks are beautiful hounds, but temperamental, much more so than Salukis, they are stand offish and very aloof. Their skin is like paper too, they rip very easily. Dawn.
