  1. Is the dog cramped? Does he hunch his back? Is he rigid? dawn.
  2. I had one of my terriers done as a pup and it was not readable by the time he was 12mths. It hadnt faded but the hair had grown over it, have them chipped now. dawn.
  3. Well as I am probably one of the dreadful people who do show their dogs, id like to comment on a working Terrier show I visited a couple of years ago. WELL KNOWN Terrier judge, who placed a black Patt first in his class then gave him champion terrier. I and most others present heard the judge say "looks like he's seen a bit" to which the owner did not reply. The owner of said dog took great delight in telling my friend afterwards as he was loading up the car, that the judge knew absolutely nothing about working dogs as his dog got his face chewed up by beind dragged down the road by a car!
  4. I was just thinking of a possible Pyometra, one of a dogs true medical emergencies. Symptoms time wise would fit in with the season etc.. other symptoms incluse a browny discharge which you may not see if she is licking herself, upend her when she has been still a while and look then, use a white tissue (graphic eh!) and also excessive drinking. If you even think she may have a Pyo, I would at least speak to a Vet tonight, my bitch had a closed Pyo, the worst type and I was told she was within 12hrs of dying. I dont want to alarm you but feel I ought to point it out. dawn.
  5. Could well be a phantom Pignut, but if it is you will need to hold off with the spaying untill its over. Does she have a discharge and is she drinking more water than normal? dawn.

  10. Sounds good then, best of luck. Dawn.
  11. No Mucker, I find the drops much better actually as if the dog gets very wet its not all washed out. Its easier to apply too. There's another thread with links to the sppray on here. Dawn.

  19. Thanks Lamping lurcher, thats exactly how I see it. Ill continue shooting, ratting etc with a Border at my side, this next one, the same, and if I feel like I want to show it too, then I will! Dawn.
  20. Have to agree Topper, maybe a mod can close it?
  21. You would be ok Nuv See I dont fit in because my bitch has only been dug to 5 times ever, I now choose bushing, ratting, shooting and Squirreling, my choice, and my male, whom i sought advice on here for at the time, doesnt work Fox anymore because my pocket suffered greatly and so did his face and legs, whilst many may think thats cool and super duper, I found it a bloody nuisance, and was sick of a dog healing for weeks on end after just one trip out! again my choice NOT the dogs! I'm not sure if I would fit in the showing category either at the moment, considering my bitch wasnt showed
