  1. Thanks all. Yes will definately do some work with him. Start with Rats and take it from there. Dawn.
  2. Pepper dust sometimes works, grease along the top of your fence helps, a hose pipe if you are there, a can of stones. This product about half way down too may help. http://www.gardensupplydirect.co.uk/?listP...dCategoryID=121
  3. Thanks both, youre right Pointer28, he does look grumpy, but in fact has a super character and outgoing temperament. This is him the other day having destroyed a feather duster! Dawn.
  4. Eh? How can they do that, I mean know when she will come in? Never heard of that before, unless it is a new drug of course. Best of luck. dawn.
  5. Yes she will be physically mature. Its not essential and I dont believe spaying early (although I wouldnt do it) has any detremental effect on the dog. Dawn.
  6. Strange that innit!! Seriously I would definately spray it, walking down the road wih a hosepipe might be a bit difficult though! I used a personal attack alarm on a stray Tom Cat once, it s**t itself and I never saw it again, was driving me nuts for weeks before. http://www.property-marking.co.uk/shop/erol.html#209X257 http://www.property-marking.co.uk/shop/erol.html#209X0 Very cheap too! Dawn.
  7. If you can, let her have a season first, its not essential, but it is preferred by most vets. Dawn.

  12. Its not worth seperating your own dogs mate. it can be spread on clothes etc.. its an airborne virus. There is a fair chance your other dog wont get it anyway, i have had one with it and not the others, and 3 with it and not the other! Its really indescriminate. Dawn.
  13. YES Kennel cough can kill dogs! It can develop into Pneumonia especially in young puppies and old dogs, usually though the dogs are ok in themselves and get over it fairly quickly. You should keep your dog away from others untill well after its stopped coughing and finish the course of tabs. Best of luck. Dawn.

  15. Cystitis is a urine infection. the dog usually tries to wee all the time, straining but not doing and what they do usually has blood in it. Usually after a course of anti-biotics they are fine. Dawn.
  16. Hi Frank. Speaking only from my experience, I had a bitch taken out of season with "Stilbeostrol" the season fizzled out within a few days, you cant use it till the bitch starts. My bitch had no side effects from this one time. its not somethning I would recommend on a regular basis. Dawn.
  17. Bloody hell, they did have their revenge, lining their nests with the things that steal their young, revenge is sweet! Dawn.
  18. My uncle worked Manchesters on Rats for years, Im talking about 20yrs ago now. I can remember them being very efficient, however they were a nightmare around other dogs always fighting, in the end he had no more due to this. The only one I know now is a pet, still very sharp with other dogs but is also very nervy around people, its NOT its upbringing as they have had Fox and Jack Russell terriers all their life. Dawn.
  19. Hello my moggy loving friend. I board a greyhound with Lupus, she is now 11yrs old and in FABULOUS condition, Ill find you a pic. Her nails break away then fall off exposing the white stumpy quick. She hasnt had any toes removed, and im sure you dont need to do that to get a diagnosis, but testing for it would be a good idea I think. The only meds she is on is very occasional anti-biotics if the nail bed becomes infected (twice in over two years) and Nicotinamide tablets from the health shop. Dawn.
  20. My friend had this, obseved 12 hens for 3 days, finally found the problem Hen, tasty she was! Dawn.
