  1. Weird, my friend breeds Banties and has 7 Cats never ever had any problem at all, never known a Cat take one ever!! Speak to your neighbour, but I suggest you have proof that their Cat is actually doing harm!
  2. Of course its possible I told you its common practice in the states. All my dogs are DNA profiled, so if I mated my bitch to two sires, all that is required is that the sire is profiled and the pups. That will tell you which pup is by which dog. DNA profiling has been here a while, the Kennel Club (SWEAR WORD!!) stores the dna profiles of all dogs tested for free, the actual test costs about £25. HERE look! http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/463/ Its also absolute proof that your dog is your dog! I think all dogs can be profiled not just pedigrees.
  3. Its been done in the US for years with pedigree dogs. People will mate a bitch to two stud dogs and DNA test the resulting pups to see who's is whos'! Dont think its allowed here, effectively you have two litters of puppies if all goes well. Greedy if you ask me!

  7. Have you? Why didnt you introduce yourself, Im surprised you were at a KC dog show! I work none of my dogs on Fox anymore, last time was about 4yrs ago. PATTS, FELLS, RUSSELS ETC DON'T COST £450-500 A POP MAYBE THAT'S WHY YA SEE MORE OF EM AT TERRIER SHOWS Oh, Im sorry, there was me thinking showing was for the folk who dont work their dogs!!!

What state? the breed is in no such "state" you have issues with people owning them as pets and showing them, such is life Im afraid, there is a damn sight more Patts, Fells, Russells etc at Terrier "shows" than there is Borders, dont cha know! Please explain what "state" means in this instance.

  10. If you dont want to breed, spay. It will stop phantom pregnancies, accidental matings, Pyometra and mammary tumours, you will also be able to work her all year round without the worry of her being in season. Personal choice, I wouldnt spay as a matter of course, but if I didnt want to breed and I wanted to work a dog all year round, I probably would.
  11. If your dog has a retained testicle it has an inherited genetic condition and regardless of how good looking, well bred, fantastic working or showing it may be it should NOT be bred from! You are condemning the next generation to the same genetic problem! If that testicle remains retained you should get it removed as it may well go cancerous and if strangulated can kill your dog.

  13. Visit any BOP centre, I can recommend the International Centre for Birds of Prey in Gloucestershire. They have birds on posts, do flying displays and obviously have birds on gloves too. Or are you concerned with the "use" of the images and the intelectual property agreements on some centres and want to use personal people to overcome this?
  14. I have a Belgian Hare, Ive always kept a pet Rabbit with the Terriers, as I dont want them chasing them when out. This Belgian is scatty, can jump 4ft from a standstill and leaps around like a fruit cake. They need space, but are quite nice to look at, mine is black and tan.
