    Do some of them X's hunt with'' Trash collars '' ? Mr Cubbies by any chance ? If so how do they operate them at a distance ,if hounds are out of sight. When do you know when to use them ? Interested thats the 1s, collars are never realy used they just have them on just incase , if anyone sees the hounds up to no good they just shout on the radios and the button gets pressed

    you can't beat a nice pack of small hounds to get the foxes moving my pal has a small pack of beagle crosses they work like deamons all day and get the job done

    thanks for all the replys folks , the comp is next weekend so should get plenty to keep the dogs going , there was boats last year with 500lb of mackrel after 3 hours fishing it's been cut back to 2 hours this year but i'm sure there still be plenty for the dogs

    looking for some advice folks , there is a local fishing comp shortly and there is always to many mackrel caught for folk to take away so i'm going to get a load for the dogs , do you think minceing them whole would be alright for the dogs ?

    giving it a miss this year getting carried away with there entrance fees and its the same old stuff every year , used to be there from the friday till the sunday with terrier club was a good laugh but loosing its apeal

    not a lover of saluki types but must admit theres some fine looking dogs on this thread , know a few boys who had dogs bred from a s stuff and they all seem to be good dogs , a keeper i met last year had 1 off him and says its a good allrounder so there not 1 trick ponys

    as you know he was doing fine and doing stuff he was bred for ,then about 6 month ago my mates bullx and terrier propper smashed him and he was layed up for about a month ,after that he started spewing he had chance everyweek for a bout 4/5 month and he would,nt take a bite ,so i made the descion 2 lket him go 2 my pal down middlebrough as a rabbiting dog he doing good and settlleing nicely ,its just ahame as he some good breeding behind the dog . sorry to here that mate he was a fine looking dog showing all the signs of makeing a good dog

    had a bullxgrey that used to do the same the vet used to tape a plastic guard on the end of his tail to let it heal , i wanted the end amputated but they wouldn't do it

    my old dog used to disapear now and again when out in the forestry used to spend hours looking for him only to find him sitting at the van waiting on me getting back , twice he ended up at police station due to tree huggers thinking he was stray and then there was the time a rather angry farmer came charging up to me on his quad to tell me that skip was hanging out the back of his collie that he was planing on lineing with some champion sheep dog

    made my day that, there you was all chuffed with your new truck, nice new 'vintage' carpet in the back....neatly taped in place....looking all good and you open up the back to a load of shit all over the place stealing the bairns baby wipes to scrub the sh!it off then you buy one of them beds, put it in the back of the truck and eddie's dog pisses all over it good to put a few names to faces, lab and other racing track was impressive, good set up there wish i would have stayed for the raffle, might have won something because my dog didnt win feck all. decent day, w
