  1. Why not skip the dry food altogether and feed exclusevly on raw food. Wouldn't be that much costlier if at all.
  2. Mid 80's most halfx's being bred were like peas in a pod. Most dog's averaged out at around 24 or 25 inch mark (with a few exceptions being taller) and a hell of a lot of bitches lucky to reach 22 or 23 inch with many bitches being classed as wastage as being too heavy and cloddy to catch a decent fox. Ideal terriermen's dogs though. Nowadays iv'e seen supposedly halfx bitches stand at 27inch and look more like a 3/4 bred than a half x. The bull's used are bastardised with mastiff and american bulldogs and are nowhere near fit for purpose. And you don't need to go across the water to find the
  3. fcuk me rex. thought you'd emigrated lol Flat out with work mate. Give you a ring tomorrow nice one mate
  4. They have a look of the stuff that the Golly dog used to throw.
  5. So that makes the pup a reverse 7/16 9/16. the dam if bryn x sally is a reverse 3/8 5/8 bred bitch. Bryn was a second gen halfx and sally a reverse 3/4 bull 1/4 grey.
  6. Just look at the indicator light next to the on/off switch mate. turn the torch on and if the little light is green then there's 50% plus in the batteries. if its amber then there is 50% to 30% life left. If its red there's under 30% so i'd recommend you charge it. Hope this helps.
  7. Those pups are not generation halfx's if the sire or dam is brin x sally. Brin x sally breeding is reverse 3/8 5/8 breeding. so the pups are reverse 7/16 9/16. hope this clears things up. nice strong pups all the same though.
  8. As far as lamps go then it's got to be the Lightforce Striker 170 variable. Cater's for most lamping situations. But why not give a torch a whirl. Saves lugging a lamp and battery about and the Acebeam k50 torch far outstrips the striker imo with the added bonus of it fitting nicely in your pocket
  9. Good stuff mate, Charger, this one is pretty decent but the older version is slightly cheaper, the i4. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261726087351 Batts, and this seller is very sound buck, he also does 4 bay xtar charger which is the one i bought and top notch, the xtar vp4 is the one i got, he will do you a good deal if you mail him and ask about 3400mAh cells and charger. Just make sure you get one that charges 4 together. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=171653959327 yup that's who i got mine from. Good proper batteries
  10. I'll try and get a video by the end of the week. I know the weather isn't right but i'll try get out there and show you the capabilities of the torch. Only drawback is someone will have to upload it from facebook for me. Foxdigger you have done a cracking job on sorting the lads out and if you do it again put me down for one and i'll pass onto someone for the same money who may not have the means to transfer money or who struggles using computers to do so. Hope everyone is pleased with their purchase.
  11. Soon as it's dark would be my guess. foxes and rabbits don't wear a g shock and wait till after midnight ffs. Dark is dark to wild animals and as such when darkness comes the wildlife appears. Hardly need to delve into why they do..they just do.
  12. dog may be game(although i hate that term in a lurcher)but sounds like it's thick as 2 short planks also. Even a half brained cur would at least run up and down hedge/fence line looking for an opening to continue the chase. Infact i don't think iv'e ever seen a dog just out and out stop like the aforementioned animal.
  13. Bloody ell. That pup has shot up since last time i saw her. Looking good mate.
  14. I think the beam is ideal. Much tighter and it'd take an age to scan a big field imo. But we are all different in what we require in a torch/lamp i suppose. Out to 150 yards i just use my little torch anyway. If i need to lamp a lot further then the big bertha gets a bash.
  15. Halfx for vermin. You want to run fast stuff then outcross to a decent coursing type. Hardly rocket science. Tbh folk get too hung up percentages and end up breeding for looks instead of workability.
  16. 4 to 5 days maybe. Usually very prompt service
  17. Considering the amount of orders and addresses i reckon foxdigger and acebeam have done a cracking job so far.
  18. link not working. Go on ebay and type in panasonic recarchable batteries. YOu want the ones at £20.99 for 2. The seller is english and from west yorkshire. Those are the ones you want.
  19. Yup i gave £40 for 4 batteries. I got the panasonic protected ones.
  20. You can bet they won't be cheap either. Sad thing is..folk will pay silly money just because of the name attached
