Can't say you've handled a trap unless you've had "Hands-in" experience :D I was putting a non-triggered dufus in my bag so I thought "Best trigger it before I reach in catch my fingers". Set one side off and then flipped it round thinking "Safety first Hutch" instead of watching where my fingers were that were holding the trap and as i pinged the other side i quickly realised by the sharp streak of pain that shot through my index finger I was holding it with my index finger right between where the the two loops sit at the top so it got sandwiched. That was a lesson learned for life as

That sounds mint although I wouldn't fancy sitting near some of the fluff wafters I've seen casting recently Seems they decided to spend money on fancy name rods and reels rather than casting tuition.

How does that work then? Is it a case of getting the fish to the surface with the dap and then casting west to them or were you casting wets to ones the dap missed?

Great video Nicepix, could quite place you by your strong French accent but I'll take a stab at North of Paris. Really interesting and great point at the end about trapping them in their environment. Will definitely give them a go and report back. Many thanks for making such a video and many thanks to Smithie for working through the frustration to get it uploaded, top work.

They look dead easy to carry a hundred or so around with you until you see that you need just as many sheets of 3ft x 3ft cuts of kingspan to cover the holes up with, not to mention the bricks to weigh said kingspan down with :D Be very interested ot see the original film that was posted if anyone can offer directions.

Well, with the levels of rainfall we've had over the last, erm, how old am I now? anyway, it's good to see the river levels have come down to usual service levels just in time for the start of the season. No doubt they'll be dome interesting catches and snags in some areas following the floods so best wishes to all for sure footing on your first outings. I have the chance of an early start on the club water but I'm away playing farmer, well, they asked me to bring the rifle for the rats so I don't think I'll be doing much farm work but I may take the vice to knock up a few sparkle arse Gn

First Few Moles, And Advice Needed

Too many variables with each situation I would assume so there wouldn't be a rule of thumb. Could be ten hills in a line or ten hills in a cluster. One line gives one main route, a cluster gives options for numerous connecting tunnels. Surely half the fun is working out the puzzle? -

An easy solution is to tell the hotel to put up signs saying "No sunbathing on your front without a towel as the presence of grubs and worms in the soil is encouraging the moles"

I think it's official name was Youth Correctional Facility Just kidding. We did go on holidays, mainly to the lakes and race courses but the odd one abroad.
