just been listening to the case of CalMac winning the right to sail on a Sunday to Stornaway(?) Despite the local council and residents objections on the basis that Sunday should be sacred. What do you lot think? Personally I believe that the views of the community should be adhered to and not steam rollered by the SP.......Oh CalMac is owned by the SP by the way! I also like the idea that Sunday should be a relaxing work free day where people can spend time with their families. Just MHO Regards Swampy Ninging for Sunday

Land Rover every time. Rag top SIII or Lightweight. Two wheel drive or four option. A bit juicy but goes anywhere. Cheap for spares and loads of them. Not that much can go wrong with them. Bit like Mecanno.

Your point re the antis could be a valid one. However it is coke he has a problem with...........going out beating for a few estates I know that some of the so called "high breds" are just as guilty of partaking in the white stuff. He is no smack head and I don't condone his behavior and I do agree there are better places to ask for help............as has been proven by some of the replies!............but none the less he has asked for help, i'm sure he knows what folk think of him do people really have to slag him off so harshly? Yet again this site offers up all the prejudices known to man by way of an "intelligent" argument. There are may kids out there who have turned to drugs as a way of escaping a situation which they have no control over. Others are addicted purely as a result of recreation. everyone has their own vice for escaping the stresses and strains of everyday life, be it running the dogs, drinking gallons in the pub or shooting. I love it when everyone jumps to the conclusion so quickly. Yes a lot of kids are little B'tards. Blame the parents for their upbringing! Yes teachers have a sheite job trying to control them when they can't even lay a finger on them. But please lets not hang the guy or the kid(s) until we have all the facts. Canoe down the Wye towards Monmouth. You can camp out on loads of sites which allow fires. Sit around a camp fire with your mates with a few bottles of the good stuff, get wasted and check out some of the best countryside in England from a perspective rarely seen. Get to Monmouth or Symonds Yat and you can either get a taxi to where your motors are or off hir the canoes and go home.......after drinking copious amounts of ale/cider of course. Why would a dog that kills chickens or any other animals be dangerous to children? Some of the best terriers I've known would never harm a child. People really need to think before typing crap like this. I will repeat (for the hard of thinking) you ARE NOT allowed to shoot dogs except as a 'last resort' (i.e. after you've tried to catch it, or stop it some other way). Not doubting your knowledge on this one, but do you have a point of reference for your statement? I was in Wales last St Georges day and came accross a sign that said quite clearly that "any dog seen off a lead w

Dan, I agree with most of what you say, however with regard to the chicken v terrier thing, it is a tough call to make without knowing all the facts and personalities involved. We've only heard one side of the story. It can hardly be described as impartial. I believe the post was designed to provoke/promote debate and as such has been successful. A fair point. I'm all for the removal of "fences". If people think I'm from the "other side" then so be it. A shame but I guess thats the way of the world. we are not all made the same, life would be pretty boring if we were.
