  1. Defo recommend Alice, dog collected on time from Newcastle upon Tyne & dropped off in Hampshire later that day
  2. Learn to make nets yourself, its easier with someone showing you but you can get a dvd off ebay. Means you can make your own nets to your own sizes/requirement. I get stainless tube offcuts from work, cut down into rings then round the edges off. Costs me nothing & I get one of the lads to do it for me, thought about teaching them to knit the nets aswell but pretty sure I know what their answer would be
  3. Already been offered more than that mate so like it says........ if interested offers via PM
  4. Sorry, advert should've read best REASONABLE offer secures Offers via PM please
  5. Due to sickness my mate has the above for sale, best offer secures posted
  6. Due to sickness my mate has a Portamag 500 for sale, also an Ultrasound therapy unit to aid fast recovery from muscle injuries etc. He paid alot of money for this gear but needs the cash. I've read the rules so...... OPEN TO REASONABLE OFFERS North East England OFFERS VIA PM PLEASE, SILLY OFFERS WILL BE IGNORED
  7. I have a a dog kenneled by him self, his dam & sister in together as I have no more space. One thing I can't get my head round is folk kenneling a terriers/lurchers together. Two similar size dogs fighting is bad enough but terrier/lurcher = 1 dead terrier if it goes off
  8. Thats an accident waiting to happen, I value my dogs too much to risk one being killed.
  9. Thats fair enough to me but I think the problem lies in selling pups instead of placing/culling & not being honest with the buyers. They're your dogs & you know what you've got & so do your mates who see the dogs work. Just for an example if I was taking a chance on buying a pup & you told me the dam hadn't let you down when she had ......then that would make you no better than any other peddler. I'm not insinuating you would though mate as I dont know you
  10. The dogs split me & my ex up in the end. I work nightshift & we'd spend the weekends together til midnight anyway then I'd be away out chasing wildlife. You'd think the ungrateful cow would've been happier cos she said I sound like a bulldozer when I'm snoring in bed. I was putting my cash in my petrol tank rather than pissing it up against a wall & having affairs. Although I do know lads who get their camo gear on & go for their leg over while their wives think their lamping. Bit dodgy crawling into your pit smelling of strange perfume "honestly darling its fox piss, I couldn'
  11. My mate bought a 18 month old Middleton dog after it walked on a dig after 6hrs in August when it was red hot. The lad was gonna shoot it but my mate took it on. The dog was pts early last year at 12yrs old & never ever let us down in 10yrs, with his best dig being 8hrs in a rocky earth that pushed the dog. I used to borrow this dog & worked him more than his owner. Showed alot of other dogs up. If he could get to a fox it was dead, the only time he didn't was his final dig to a little vixen in tight which ended his career by removing his armoury. Tried til the end this dog. He regular
  12. I get as much waste from the butchers as I need free of charge. Chicken carcasses, skin, turkey necks, lamb ribs, bones & occasionally organs. My bullx was fed on this diet from 8wks, he's now 3yrs & never had any problems. I try & give him trout or mackerel when available as a replacement one day a week. Wouldn't feed anything else aslong as my supply is available

  14. Making offers and also making comments about the sellers goods (ie it's only old so it can't be worth much etc) on open forum derails the sellers thread and is extremely bad form. Both are best done by PM, allowing the seller to respond to you by PM also. You work for trading standards by any chance?
  15. If they walk give them a second chance, if they walk again...... they ain't anymore
  16. You're a credit to working Borders mate, fairplay. Just sick of hearing knackers appearing every so often saying they're gonna revive the Border Terrier. These dogs are safe in the hands of lads like yourself
  17. I disagree Dan, if a dog has half a brain it can excel at both. I only lamp now but a few years ago I expected mine to lamp all quarry, work with terriers & hunt up through the day. A decent dog soon learns what it can't catch but by that I dont mean picking its runs. All bullx's I've kept will go through any cover but know when I switch the lamp off to return.
  18. I've been out with Hoolie the half x, the g'sire to mine & also the sire Duke. I'd like to think I've f****d up with her age as I'd love to take a litter from her. She's as fit as a fiddle still, had a night running hares (yes I have no morals lol) towards the end of the season, her daughter had to be lifted into the motor but the old bitch was still keen even though she had ran alot more. Theres a halfx dog I would have liked to have used over her if the owner would have let me but also a reverse 3/4 I'd also use. I'm gonna try & find out if I've dropped a bollock
  19. Mine has been fed raw from 6wks old mate & had no bother. The older dogs have teeth like young'uns on this diet, mind lamb can not half put the weight on though so feed it in moderation
  20. B bred her from Duke x Puma's 1st litter but I got her from a lad who knows went out with him at the time, she was 8 months when I took bought her. Had one litter of pups from her but wish I could take one more litter but she's too old now
  21. Very nearly the double of my old bitch Corky...same age also She was out of Duke x Puma, 2nd gen 3/4 bred I think. Was an excellent dog out with terriers in her day marking & catching, wish she was a pup again as she put us on the foxes & still is a good lamping bitch although she feels it for a few days afterwards
  22. Got an 11yr old bitch here, very very fast bitch & has always had poor flat feet. Had a few injuries due to her speed but its never held her back & she can still hold her own now with her offspring. If the dog does what you require just give him plenty of roadwork then get his fitness up steadily
