  1. Slight price difference - between V mach tune and Gas Ram I have a HW90 in .22 - Kept as Spare - prefer to use my Precharged Gun's BOB/R
  2. What Pellets - seems to depend on Shooters Gun Best way to find out is to get along to a Local Air Gun And have a pellet Exchange Day - where several Shooters bring along their Pellet Collections and do swops with others until they find what works bet in their Gun's Accuracy is not everthing - as often hear Shooters get good target Scores But find that their Gun Shoots lower power using them A little time and effort brings in good rewards and saves time and effort in time BOB/R
  3. Years ago I used to Sell Faber 300 Bar MDE Bottles I used to keep a Pump - lost it's Box And often used to get ask for Pumps and used to let Shooters Try the Pump Often over night Still got it - must have been used by at least 50 Shooters over the years You might be fit and believe that you could use it - First 50 -100 are easy it's the last 50 that normally get's Shooters Prices are around the same - Decent Pump - 300 Bar Air Bottle It's not only a fittness problem Pumps can allow moisture to get into Gun's which is a Killer Dive Air is Dry........... Safer
  4. A lot down to Shooter Yes a Hit Bunny or Bird makes a noise and could scare off further But I am well aware the quiter you are the more often you will get a 2nd Shot @ Lea Valley We mostly shoot under cover and request that Shooters use them on Gun's fired within Ranges as can drive other shooters up the wall - having one without a silencer / moderator........... And yes there are differences between those currently available BOB/R
  5. Used to Decoy in Pigeons Using Shotguns and Air Gun's Best Day's was with a Pigeon Magnet and a Air Gun Again comes back to field craft and watching fields and flights BOB/R
  6. Often Read Shooters want the most highest possible Powered Guns Remember when @ 26th Middlesex - Supertens was wideley used Many used to have accuracy problems On checking found they was running hot On getting them reduced down Shooters found they was far more accurate and consitant BOB/R
  7. Robert, No location - Helps to be aware of where shooters are to problems Might get that problem where more Divers than Air Gun Shooters Been using Dive Bottles 300 Bar for many years - have several gun's And Run a Club with many 100's Enclosed Link http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/1468227 Shows possiblities - There is No Central Air Filling Body - so some Filling Stations can be a bit Funny Also some Bottle are not Standard Dive Bottles - Some are converted Medical bottles Link shows you Standard Dive bottles Also worth Checking out Loc
  8. As in my Post No 11 Talk is Cheap carrying it out is near Impossible As much as Groups would like to Ban Air Gun's - there is No Funding to Enforce a Ban Or Run a Licensing Scheme......................... They can not enforce current Legisation - if it was Enforced it would remove Many of those that are bringing to Sport into disrepute BOB/R
  9. All Uk Made and Sold Gun's are currently restricted to being Sub 12FP And Sealed Most are firing around 10.5FP with Standard Pellets Joys of Air Gun's is that they are greatly effected by weather and which pellets they Use A 11.5 in the winter could exceed Sub 12FP of a hot Day As Gun's are Factory Sealed it would have to go back to Factory And cost you Money............... BOB/R
  10. There are Several issues in Scotland Where MP's are trying to throw their Weight around and against London As much as some would like to see the Banning of air Gun's I doubt if it could ever come in as there is Not way they could enforce it............. Same as Licensing ............ Easy to talk and Write about Very hard to bring into Action BOB/R
  11. When Funds Allow I enjoy Practical Shotgun I wonder If UK law would allow this one to be used BOB/R
  12. Not seen any around Ranges for Ages Rather old designs - against other available Gun's these day's Rather expected them to dissapear from the Market place when John Cooper called it a Day Especially as part of the Air Arms Group BOB/R
  13. Interesting - Should not sell you anything - but doubt if question a repair But is legally obliged to BOB/R
  14. No It's not recommended to Fill Any Air Gun from a Compressor As can easierly blow Seals Standard Factory Industrial Unitits are well below the minimum 200 Bar Required for Air Gun's Reason why it costs money to get them filled The Average Dive / Gun Shop ones run £5,000 Plus - regular service service costs Talking to one Dive Shop - who had invested in a Three Bottle Filler - worked out it would take him a lifetime to recover capital cost of machine - let alone Service Cost But Bottle Filling was part of his services............ A New 300 Bar 12 Litre is around £2
  15. Most Air Gun Silencers orginated from Rim Fire Gun's Sound Biter for one........ The Phoenix / Parker Hale Carbon works well on Rim fire Gun's Can not take HMR Reason Air Gun Silencers was added to VCR Bill That many was being used on fire Arms without being put on Licenses BOB/R
  16. UK Law is that No Pistol - Air or Gas must Exceed Sub 6FP If it was made a Pistol it remains a Pistol - regardless of work Extra's Minimum Length of a Rifle in UK is 24 1/2 Inches Even though Brocock Tac Gun's was made Section 1 - They must Not Exceed Sub 6FP Rule Reason in Competitions most run them off Air Bottles of 210 Bar or Less To stay in Law of Use them on Air Gun Ranges & UK Rules I have seen Vermin Control Officers using Various Air & CO2 Powered Air Pistols to Kill Vermin in Cages Not suitable for Hunting - but should Kill a caged Vermin Reme
  17. Air Bottles are rising in cost 300 Bar are Best - more fills per recharge Cost of bottles will rise as mostly made outside UK Some Dive Shops and air Gun Shops will fill Air Gun's But charge you near as much as it would to fill a Air Bottle Also a growing number are concerned about Gun's waving around while being filled in Shops Most Clubs either have a Club Air Bottle or Members that will give you a Fill But taking into account around £200.00 for a Steel bottle that will last a lifetime If looked after £6-10 for 12 Litres of 300 Bar Air Will give the average Shooter
  18. Most Police Tests are carried out by Independant Labs With a Selection of Pellets Should Officers want to check your Gun - Via local Dealer and their Chrono They will normally use what was found with Gun @ time I have herd of cases where Gun's have been checked by Police @ a Gun Dealer before being sent Off to a Lab - for a possible court Case Then offering the owner a Chance of Gun Being destroyed or going through a Court Case............. With a Criminal Record Also helps them keep crime figures down............... And their costs - As understand Labs charge £300.00 Plus f
  19. Best Laugh - guy was filling off 300 Bar 12 Lire and wet finger tip to feel for leak Blew hole through finger - lucky if did not find a vein or Bone............... Another guy placed 12 litres of 300 Bar with valve to boot - got re-ended Bottle went through back and front seat and ended up in Engine Block Guy still a bag of nerves - several years later.............. BOB/R
  20. There are several Hundred Shooters for each possible permission Taking into account Airgunner / Shotgunners and Full bore Rifle users It's not unusal to find that one or two seem to have several available shoots in most Areas As these Day's landowners / Farmers seem to go by word or mouth from other owners Also worth checking out Local Air Gun Clubs - as often find that some members have several shoots And if asked correctly have been known to take others out onto their shoots to assist..... BOB/R
  21. With All makes of Scope Arriving in UK They normally cost around a 1/4 of what they sell for - regardless of supplier And there is only a handfull of manufactures in the World And Most Glass out of China comes from same Factory I have Walther Scopes - good Value and ideal for Air Gun's And yes brought in the day's before VCR Bill when I was a Brocock Dealer........... BOB/R
  22. I Supply Exterminators & Defiants Around the world - where ever advised Legal As stated I have posted and they have been delivered without problems As ask all customers to advise when orders arrive - saves problems down the line............ BOB/R
  23. USA has a thing about Handling Lead And seems to be coating it with different Metals Copper will damage a Air Gun Barrel ....................... BOB/R
