I am sure a Irish Shooter will come along and confirm All Air Gun's North and south are Fire Arms and need to have a License before applying for a Gun From report's on boards it can take many months to come through My Brother lives in the south - And had land Applied to take mine over and was refused permission As my Brother did not have the land registered for Shooting Also Licenses are higher prices for each extra Gun .......... Reason most Shoot Full bore instead of air Gun's BOB/R

Use the most accurate pellet you can get in your gun. Almost certainly a domed pellet, you do not need the terminal effect of HP at 15 yards on a squirrel, accuracy, at a very small kill zone is best, and HP are not known for accuracy! As for the best way to hunt, as we have discussed ..there isn't a best way, all land and circumstances are different and so different approaches work better in different situations!! AA Field 5.51 Domed took this lot... Was that your Best Day's Shoot ? BOB/R

Was a interesting Air Rifle No longer imported as unable to meet Anti Tamper Requirements Was pellet Fussy Also up for being tested as Easy to be upgraded - Aware that if seen by Police - was up to be tested As aware most found was over Sub 12FP Check out Phoenix Air Rifles http://www.phoenixairguns.co.uk a Magazine underlever Rifle Much smoother and easier to use.......... Use to help on a large shoot - between M25 & M11 Alway's used to notify Farmer and Police Still got buzzed by Police Helicopter with Armed Officers But They did phone to confirm it was us in the Fields Aware of a Shotgunner up the Road - wearing Earphones Was fired on for Not replying - hide was seen from road Turned out the farm had Change hands and his permission was out of date Logging into Shoots also helps with VCR Bill Having a legal reason to be transporting Gun's BOB/R

Read reports on Shooting forums Of Gun's being delivered and others being returned Since VCR Bill - seems customs have been returning a few But does seem to depend where you live these days With today's poor exchange Rate and problems Pay's to buy from a Dealer these day's At least you can legally return it if it goes wrong BOB/R

Best one is Shooters complaining Air Guns cost more than Fire Arms Ones a tube with a Firing Pin - And a lot more are made than Air Gun's The other needs Valving and Air Tank Prices Also depend on where and when it was made Going to be interesting - following £ Crashing Cheaper overseas are no going to be dearer than UK made Gun's Thankfully I have not plan's to buy any New ones for the forseeable future BOB/R

Was going to suggest Bars If They have not got them that normally means that there are none around V-mach Sponser UK Springer Comp - Run by Lea Valley And do come to comp's to meet Shooters And often complaint from shooters is delay in getting work done Joy's of a Son and Father Business BOB/R
-
For those Not Aware Goverment / home Office monitor All Shooting forum Boards For such posts - and use them in written report's to Say that Shooters can not be Trusted They can also obtain details of users and address I understand the same programme is used by others to help themselves to Shooters Collections when they post there Collections Within their Posts..................... From Experiences @ Lea Valley With New Shooters Is using Multi Focus Scopes And miss Judging distances Reason I prefer to use 6 x 42 Fixed Focus Scopes on my Hunting Air rifles I am not a Paper Target person Rather stick out Several Different Targets on Meat Sticks @ Different Distances Lucky as We have plenty of used 12 Bore Cartridge Cases And even have Races between shooters - knocking them up range........... It's currently a Buyers Market Also depends if it's a .22 or .177 and what the buyers plan's to use it for Best of Luck BOB/R

As posted before - CO2 is not really Suited for this Country When Cold it Spurt's out liquid instead of push out Gas Break Actions are far better as Starter Gun's And with CO2's being made overseas expect to price to jump in coming months as Currency Differencies catch up BOB/R

Was the Stop Legal - my View Yes Especially around Farms in Early Hours Out of interest do you report you are out at night Shooting ? In which case they normally advise patrols in Area - to look out for you Helps when others report seeing people with Gun's on Land Aware of a Few Shooting Buddies which are armed Police that might have been tired and had a accident in a similar case Reminds me of a guy involved in a Car accident - taken off to hospital head injuries Police watch car awaiting recovery Guy breaks in a Steals Air Gun's - from boot of damaged Car Polic

Check out USA Boards Was brought out in States as they are looking @ other materials than Lead Copper is used to coat some Full Bore rounds Remember reading it will effect Air Gun rifling - if used over a period Pax brought out Dynamics in Tin , which is softer than Lead Also lighter - Reason I brought out the Exterminator Range in Lead Which was also sold by Logun's as Penetrators BOB/R
