  1. Best of luck KOT! New to lamping myself pal, I found it a pretty steep learning curve!! Looking forward to your write up Mikey.
  2. Hi Bill, Cheers mate much appreciated. Ive been thinking of having a tune up on the TX, its good as it is, but I have fired one that has been tuned by Sandwell Field Sports and that was pretty sweet! Thanks again, Mikey.
  3. Hi Lads, Just after a little advice/information if you can help. Ive just been for a mooch/recce around one of my shoots that i plan to lamp on foot one night soon. Just getting a heads up really, and the lie of the land. I cocked and loaded my TX200HC that is standard, out of the box. Slung it over my shoulder and had a wee mooch round. I was out about an hour and a half without firing a shot. Which made me think, if I was to take a shot with the spring being cocked for that long would this affect the Point Of Impact?? Didnt have time to carry a detailed experiment out, but as
  4. I WANT TO JOIN THE FELLOWSHIP!!! Need to save some pennies though! Mikey.
  5. Hi, I have drooled over the R10 in my local shop many a time! Just love the woodwork on these rifles. Sure it will do you proud Shay, have fun! Kind Regards, Mikey.
  6. Nice outing there Huddies, seems a cracking permission. Best of luck mate. Mikey.
  7. Some great shots pal, and nice pic illustrating good camoflauge works wonders. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  8. Hi, My advice would be to pack the scope in the mounts slightly. By this I mean put a thin piece of something inbetween the bottom of the scope and the mount, Ideally something like a photo negative (although I have used a piece of insulation tape in the past). This would lift the front bell fractionally, hopefully give you a bit more elevation to zero. Also what pellets do you use, and do they suit your rifle? Maybe try zeroing at 10m to start, getting it close then moving out to your required zero range. Regarding breathing I can only tell you how I do it, im sure others will do
  9. Hehe Cheers Lads, It was a very satisfying shot as I have recently moved to shooting springers, and have put a lot of time in at the club punching paper, and working on on my marksmanship, and its now starting to pay off!! P.S Im rather thinning myself, so have to take my slap heeeed into acount when considering camoflauge Mikey.
  10. Hi All, Went out to my cricket club permission again this morning. I play for the club in the summer and the Groundsman had asked me to 'take care' of the rabbits, so over the past months I have been happy to oblige. They have been doing quite a lot of damage to the ground, scratting out little 'ankle breaking' holes. Got there just as the sun was coming up. As I arrived there were a few crows about, but it was the rabbits I was after again today. I have bagged a few over the last couple of months, and I'm taking the little and often route. I started the same as I do with every sho
  11. Hi, Good on you mate for standing up to them and taking it all the way. I hope it works out well for you and it costs them more than a refund, and polite apology that should of resolved the issue. Keep us posted. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  12. Yep same as others. Shavings and shredded paper in the hutch and old clothing for the nest box. Keeps em snug and clean.
  13. Cheers Lads, Festa, will sought some pics mate next time im out. Im quite spoilt for permission really so will get some decent pics up to show you all. Phantom, I agree mate its still warmish, I reckon after the first ground frost there wont be much mating going on. Im just waiting for the cover to die back a bit before running my two young jills through the sets. Hit the bunnys hard!! If any of the lads on here fancy a trip to the Peak District for a spot of shooting let me know! Would be great to put names to faces. I have loads of permission for air-gunning and ferreting. Open i
  14. Hi All, It was my first outing after the bunnys in a while this morning. I arrived at my cricket club permission at just after 0730hrs. Took my TX200hc and checked zero before starting on a slow stalk around the perimeter of the shoot. There is a short hedge line that borders the club and some residential gardens where some of the rabbit burys are set, so I lay up at my zero range of 30m and waited. It didnt take long for a young 3/4 grown to make an appearance. I centered the cross hair on the sweetspot, squeezed through the second stage, followed the shot through watching as my AA Fi
  15. Great stuff mate, keep bopping em!
  16. Good on ya pal, hope he does you proud!
  17. Yeah the Air Arms did well in mine, grouped nice and tight. I bought a cheapo bi-pod off the bay, and wish id spent a bit more on a swivel model! I would be layed up opposite a bury, bunnys would present themselves, and I would be messing repositioning. P.S I also found Superdomes worked well through it.
  18. Hi All, I was wondering what you lads/lasses put in your hutches and runs for your ferts to play with, and keep them amused for a bit. The reason i ask is one of my jills is often trying her best to bite through the wire of the mesh. I hate to see her like that. She gets a decent run out around the front room every evening, but would like to give them more stimulus whilst in the hutch. Its a decent sized three tier hutch with just two small jills in it. I have put them a hammock in and a ladder they like to dick about on. Any other sugestions would be well received. Kind Regards,
  19. Ive just got a TX200 Hunter Carbine, and its the mutts nutts! I agree it is a tad weighty but for a springer, I personally see that as an advantage. There is a lot less muzzle flip, and I seem to be able to keep a steadier sight picture than on my HW95k. I have been punching some paper over the weekend and have produced some awesome groups (for me anyway)! Im not saying the TX is any better than the HW's, its just one came up at the right price, I brought it and I love it. My only negative is I took it lamping and found It quite hard to load in the dark as I have sausage fingers, and the chamb
  20. Nice mate. Ive had one before, couldnt fault it. If I was honest with myself, I probably preferred it to the Rapid I traded it in for!! Great rifles for the money.
  21. All this 'my missus just brought me a rifle' , think Im going to have to show mine this thread!!
  22. Ebay, Army surplus goretex DPM. Very cheep and breathable so dont sweat buckets. Works a treat for me!
