    a few pics of pup had her swimming in a lake and she loves water, coming on real good retreiving and down and stay brill, couldnt be happier with her she may get a run on a rabbit back end of the season but not in no rush with her, cheers for looking

    Im not a big expert but im sure pups can inherit colours from there sires "sire or dam" or from there dams "sire or dam" , like i say im no expert but theres some lads on here that know a thing or two about genetics

    As i say ive been ferreting practically all my life and used jills all the time, ive been told that hobs like to kill down before, i suppose all are different hopefully the hobs i receive like to bolt then kill down gaz 1989 saw a pic of your youngens looks a nice bunch mate

    Which would you prefer? Ive always kept jills but should be receiving some hobs soon and just want to find out the difference in working ability. Cheers

    Your dogs could collide doubled up for sure but we run the risk of injury or killing our dogs everytime we work them, only time will tell wether the dog will come good, the whippet i had went back to its previous owner as it lacked the working ability i needed, he gave me so many problems that a lurcher never has so decided to put me time into a lurcher pup

    Take him out with an older dog works in my experience, maybe give him a doubled slip with an adult or let him watch another dog catching rabbits he should soon want it good luck

    My dog received a major hairline fracture which messed his tendons up and he know has a lump of metal fused to his bone for support, he will never really work again but the dog will always stay with me no matter what, he was a hard worker when he was working, maybe some light ferreting with him in the future. If you have the right money and its do able a good vet will sort it from what i got told about this kind of injury or semi retiring if you cant sort it and give the bitch the odd few runs here and there, good luck

    Well i was lamping one night with my bro's collie x and pure greyhound, he slipped em on a red one, i couldnt believe the size thought it was a horse lol anyway after a short course the deer left the dogs for dead when it cleared a huge hedge. The dogs had no chance then, would take a good animal to pull them doubled and would take a very strong dog to pull one single, Cheers

    Sounds good mate, mines a smk xtb2-2k, its just a starter for me really and i will probably upgrade to a better one once i need regular use for it, ive bought it really to bring my pup on with and to get her retreiving the odd bunny and bird until i can take her out to lamp them herself how well does silencers work on spring rifles buddy. Cheers
