there was a video not too long ago on here of a man going in a kennel and nicking someones lurcher. could someone post the video on here for me please.
can you lot put up pics of your working whippet as im receiving my 1st ever whippet next week. i currently own a lurcher and ive been told that pure whippets are different to them in many ways...
he looks a stunner mate and as long as a dogs got a big heart i dont think you can really go wrong, i shall be doing alot of ferreting with mine so he MUST be broke to everything from ferrets to life stock and especially be well behaved around my young daughter. have you ran any long eared with him mate?
i think kennel dog mate, his previous owner was my uncle and he's gave me good feedback so ive got high hopes and i must say i do prefer raising a pup from 8 week old as theres no bond that compares when you go through the highs and lows of your dogs life. i must say im taking a risk in taking this dog because ive never thought about owning a whippet or an adult dog. im prapared to spend alot of time on the dog and try to achieve want i want out of him so im just trying to soak up as much info about them as i can
glad its paid of for you pal, my current lurcher was a fast learner and ive never thought about owning a whippet but heard what they lack in size they make up in heart and as long as a dog puts 100% in im a happy owner. can you put a pic up of your whippet mate
Im receiving a whippet on the 2nd of september. He's 15 month old and not done a single thing and as my current dog is out due to his broken hock which is healing and has two metal plates ever side of his break, ive got a season a head of me and thought it would be an idea to bring this dog on. im just looking for some advice of experience whippet handlers as its the first whippet ive ever owned.

agree with you boys, its down to putting game in front of the dog the dog ive currently got is just a lurcher lurcher x and hes done me proud, just want something new next time. cheers
sounds decent mate but not a bull x fan really but swapping the bull for collie sounds a nice dog, i also thought collie/grey x deerhound/grey but its finding one as i dont beleive half the stuff that come out of some peoples mouths when it comes to selling pups. cheers
we all know how boring it is for us hunters through the long summer months especially when me dogs out of action even when the winter months return, heres a few pics to reflect on this last season or two with my mutt. and we dont mind having a cook up after a bit of hunting. all quarry taken in legal ways atb
