    Had a mooch local with REW of here, we only account for 1 or 2 on our local spot but I need to get me young ferrets and lurcher out as much as poss before we start on some decent ground. Before I met rew I ferreted a little warren with my 2 young ferrets 1 hob and a jill. I havnt caught non in this warrenfor some time however this time I accounted to two. Shortly after I met rew and he had already caught 3 rabbits with his experienced jill on the way to meet me which meant we had 5 in the bag. The next warren we ferreted produced 3 healthy rabbits, its the first time we've ferreted it this yea

    We get 2 quid a rabbit just gutted, sometimes we leave guts in them as we provide a reptile centre with rabbits for their snakes, and other places we get 2.50 - 3.00 per rabbit skinned. Its all good and well when rabbits provide petrol sometimes more

    My old dog yapped once or twice as a pup but as he he grew older and his catch rate picked up he never made a sound since. As I say my pup is young so she should grow out of it. The whiopet I owned that yapped I gave back to were he come from. Yappin bein 1 reason but jus not makin the grade I wanted.

    Had a whippet that opened up alot whilst in pursuit of game. At the mo im bringing on a pup whos let out the odd yip on a chase or two but that should be down to youth hopefully lol

    I fed my pup raw chicken mince with the odd bit of puppy dry biscuit, I started with little and often with mine and started her at 4 meals a day and after a few weeks stayed at 3 meals a day, she's big and strong now and at nearly 9 month shes on 2 meals a day

    Rspca and police dont understand our way of life what so ever, but there is no excuse what so ever to keep a dog in that state. I can picture a few muppets hammering fox's for fun, especially with them being under 18, it gives rspca and police the reasons to think we are all like it, im only 20 years old but find myself a responsible person whilst in the countryside and the locals could back me on it, hopefully this puts some of the badun's off so us that set examples can have a relaxed hunting life ahead of us.

    He was the first whippet ive ever owned, and what you say is right he also had the turning of a bus, at first i thought he maybe a bit of a slow starter but after sevral months had passed there was no change so a pet home was the best option for him

    Another good day out we had rew, we got abit wet but we got some sport its always a pleasure to work with your bitch, shes a well experienced bitch that knows the ferreting game well now, i look forward to next season mate

    Its a good vid well done rew we had a good crack that day and my toes were fecking frozen lol, unfortunatley as you know the whippet never made the grade of dog i needed and after a season with him he went back to his previous owner. Cheers

    I received some kits a few week back they are now 13 week and as we all know the season is approaching fast, what age is the norm to start young ferrets of. Cheers

    Ive heard stories of people ferreting holes in the bottoms of trees for squirrel, also heard a few folk say theyve bolted foxes from rabbits warrens, like said rats are another. Is there any other small game that nest underground that a ferret could tackle?

    My missus tells me my wellies are stuck to me feet lol just a habit of wearing them everytime im walking dogs and you sure do suffer sore feet from it, hope she does well in the future buddy only time will tell
