  1. As some will know i cant see why people poach no need for it (For those on here i make it clear i have nothing against you i just disagree). I dont think im stereotyped as a tweed wearing toff, because i do wear tweed and i unfortunatly speak "posh" so cant argue on that one really. But i do agree that we're stereotyped as a "cruel" and "evil" we're not those who buy the £2 chickens are for supporting intense farming.
  2. Blimey. all this talk about lube does sound bit GAY....(or just dirty mind????)
  3. Tbh honest with you i dont think you'll get much luck due to how expensive steel is. have you tried shooting one with an air rifle using non toxic pellets?? (presumin you dont have access to shotguns.)
  4. its proberly not a good idea to put oil down the barrel of an air rifle because when oil is mixed with compressed air it can and does explode (how diesels work) this is called "dieseling" which can affect accuracy and im not sure but cant be good for the barrels if the pressure get way up. Using lubed pellets is much better as long as it done with the proper stuff because i think they use graphite to lubricate some pellets. yh sorry i meant hard steel not hardened steel, but none the less harder than cleaning pads.
  5. On the faig filter front are you talking about the cleaner pellets (like a fabricish thing) I use them every now and then about ever 100 pellets and i shouldnt think they would do damage i mean the barrels are hardened steel and those thing are far from being as hard.
  6. i only have my own experience and i've never set foot upon a grouse moor and so was only speaking from what worked for me. agreed we lost a few but it happens.
  7. i always use 5 on pigeon and find them good (when i hit the blitters) 6s in my opinion just lack a little something, i beleive game bore clear pigeons are pretty good they do a 30g 5 which seems to work
  8. brought a six pack of diet coke bottles. undid 2 of them and place a mento is the lid with a hair holding it in place. told everyone that they was goin cheap down shop so help youselves so as they undid the bottle the mento dropped and fizzed up, shame today was the only day of the week we all where our best suits. common room is rather sticky but worth the bolluckin

thats what im after cant find on tho but i think spike(some numberrs) is the one to ask, hes pretty clued up and real helpful.
  10. I think people only here the bad storys, and tbh i think we would be in a worse state if it werent for imigrant workers, i shoot on a fruit farm all of the workers are polish and i would imagine many other industries rely up on them. Many imigrants have conributed to the country, where would we be if i werent for the Irish workers building the motorways, the carribeans working in the transport department and the asians working in the factories.
  11. i've got a hybrid i think its rhode island red x something But th place i got them they called them ginger nick?? (crap name i know). but what a bird lay everyday neer miss a beat and they are pains in the arse like the pure bred light sussex its horrible and just not the bird i would choose again (i think its gettin the chop soon if it carrys on)
  12. i dont have pay pal. would it be ok if you PM the info to me??? i want to make sure it fits as well (it should do). Its a .22 thanks Joe
  13. As its said it illegal to kill them and rightly so, we dont want to go back to the 1900s thought of "its got a hook beak therefor it must go". when i was helping with a shoot there were a shed load of buzzards about so what we did was supply the poult with lots of cover and protection and for the buzzard we would shoot a rabbit and leave it on a platform as far away from the pens as possible, a buzzard would rather scavenge than hunt ...its easier, even if poults arent hard.
  14. most shops have a few second hand scopes anyway
  15. Have a look on ebay i have a feeling thats where we got ours froom last year. i'll try and find out another of our suppliers and keep you posted.
  16. Im glad im not the only Person to use "Peasant" as an insult, great word!
  17. i agree eBay does have some shite. i brought a scope from sommit sunshines on there and it was the biggest pile of crap i've seen. got better accuracy with open sight (at least they stayed zeroed at the same spot after a shot)
  18. If we do own scotland ... Can i have backsies?! And on the Poles/ eastern europeans yh some are in the wrong (stealing fish and swans!) but dont brush them with the same brush (or however that saying goes) alot are hard working and id rather them than some peopl in this country to live with.
  19. yeah i have seen you handy work and its much admired by myself. but i use this pistol for dispatch in trap like mink and rats so bit too nice if you get me, the silencer is purly so i dont draw too much attention to myself (the place is open to the public and is littered with tourist) as they are bloomin' loud. the scope tbh is just bit of fun to use up the CO2 up (i always put a new cartridge in when dispatchin and change it every dozen shots). How did you get the silencer on??? Mines onnly got the short standard barrel and standard everything.
  20. Right then guys and lasses, i need your help. I have a ratbuster (ratcatcher pistol) and its rather boring, what i want to do is put a silencer on it and a scope. Now i know of those "pro-block" but can they be used with any 11mm dovetail scope? And on the silencer front, is there a purpose built silencer i can get or is there a adapter to 1/2 unf ???? Anything appreiciated for any advice.
  21. just take things slow and steady and keep the wind in your face. I've not heard of a rabbit decoy before but who knows, those crazy yanks use deer decoys so let us know what happens.
  22. As its been said, 6s will do most things 5s can, but 5s do it better in my opinion and i dont use anything else if i can help it. 5s i find have just that little bit more kinetic energy. suits me in my 20. and in the 410 6s on rabbits as thats all i can get my mitts on.
