  1. Merle most collie bull greyhounds I have witnessed are heavier than say a 1/4 bull greyhound. If you want speed and agility, a bit of saluki or saluki whippet would be ideal. I don't see any need for collie in the mix. Nothing you can say will change that as I have witnessed it with my own eyes. I am a big fan of collie crosses, just not this kind. FTB
  2. Maybe not the most ideal thread to pay your respects mate. What's the story behind it? FTB
  3. I personally think they are inferior to straight bull crosses and may detract more than they add. I don't see the need for collie in a bull cross. Dogs for jobs, Just my opinion. FTB
  4. Who is patrick lee and what relevance does it have to this thread? FTB
  5. I've already got 3 points for using a phone while driving and a few for speeding. so I think it will be money well spent, can't afford to loose any more. FTB
  6. There really good. I've got the one with the screen that you can use with iphone/ipod etc and its crystal clear and good quality. Would not advise fitting it yourself unless you are very techy, I was going to attempt it but when I seen all the wires and the fact you might need the dashboard off I decided against it. Halfords fit them for 20 quid. FTB
  7. liverpool will win it next year though :toast: ffs, stewies back you deluded scouse kunt :secret: :secret: Stewie can you change that avatar, it is really annoying. FTB
  8. Well...what's the general consensus? Lol FTB
  9. You driving a convertable mini? Nice pooch. FTB
  10. More a patridge thing that surely..........not saying you wouldn't get any, of course some would come of roost early but the vast majority wont be. I'd find that a strange thing to do to get many numbers of pheasants when roost shooting them would be more effective. Whatever the case its still worth 2 barrels at about yards...... Agreed. More than likey mid rearing-season dropping the nets off the runs. FTB
  11. I would say that is a dead cert. He is probably sat at the computer reading this in a pair of new wellies tying pegs onto his new nets laughing his ass off. FTB
  12. Or better still use red diesel. FTB
  13. Call it The stig...no one knows anything about it, sex, colour etc. FTB
  14. I would just get the cheapest one and put the difference towards a better scope. FTB
  15. Just make sure when you come home from a nights hard lamping with your bent pals that you fart and hold your wifes head under the covers...to remind yourself that your all man. FTB
  16. Really not wanting an argument mate. But who do you associate with who would breed off a dog primarily for aesthetic purposes? Surely that's no better than breeding a terrier just because it won a few shows? As I said, its your dog, your choice and who am I to judge. All the best with your dog and its many seasons ahead of him. FTB
  17. When I was about 12 I found a wallet with over 200 quid in it whilst on my paper round(lol), quite rightly my mum made me hand it back it. Week or so later this old buddy came round the house and gave us half of it back. Moraly its the right thing to do. How do you know he is better off than yourself ? He might be far worse off. Give it back, which you probably would irregardless of this thread. FTB
  18. Probably been some confusion on their behalf. I'm sure the first time you invited them out `dogging` they had a different idea. FTB
  19. Fairplay mate, i think it depends where you flighting them and where you stick the guns, often you can put them with a good view of approach down a valley and get more warning than you would normally with woodcock. Also if they have not seen you they are flying a lot slower. The figures speak for themselves, thats how the biggest number are shot here. Never really been my thing, always seen it as much about the dog hunting them up in the kind of cover they hide in as me missing them with the gun Missing flighting woodcock. . . . well you just shooting at stuff and missing Where's the fun?
  20. LIKE I SAID BEFORE, SHOULD'NT NEED ONE. Agreed. But (pre ban obviously) a lurcher was a very handy accessory to a digging team. From marking holes, putting stuff to ground, catching bolts and drawing they are worth their weight in gold. If you dig solo (like myself), pre ban, a good lurcher freed up your hands from a gun and net bag. FTB
  21. Been a few years since I have flighted them TBH But last time I did, was waiting in a ditch ion the edge of a forestry block on the field side. On their way out feeding they would whip over at incredible speed. Shot to kill ratio like 1:20 Also need a good dog to pick them FTB
  22. Just bought 1 last month.......question for you mate, If you have driven the new Warrior do you think its a noisy engine when your up around 70 and you just let of the gas a little... Not really to be honest mate. I think they are very comfortable on the road. Although to be honest, I normally have music pretty well up What kind of noise we talking like? Wind noise, tyre noise, engine noise? At 2.5 litre they do rev a bit higer at speed than 3 litre engines. I will have a listen on Monday. Did you get one of the new shape ones? FTB
  23. For L200 owners - Watch when offroading on difficult ground that you dont bottom out. The sump guard is soft as shite, and once it is bent in it presses on the transfer box and the 4 wheel drive system doesn't work. We have 2 at the work and it has happened twice this year (on two different vehicles). Not a major expense but will have you off the road which is the main thing. Thing to watch for is deep ruts etc. May be worth while getting it lifted or reinforcing the sump guard if neccesary. Apart from that they are decent trucks at a fraction of the price of a Hilux/land rove
