  1. Mine jumps for fun, she can clear a five bar gate from standing, but i try to keep it down to a minimum. I worry about the stress on her joints, she's nearly a year.
  2. Nice one stabs, your in a great place to raise a stabs jnr
  3. Chalkwarren sorry to hear about the damage done, i can understand how. A powerfull dog catching hold of the pup right and giving it a shake can cause such damage in seconds. Luckily for me, a dog does'nt understand the concept of a near miss, it either happens or does'nt. So she appears uneffected. It could very easily of been a different story, say if she was a slower dog or if she was on a lead, which she should of been in this park. The dog was a white alsation and someone told me they can often have problems with mental stability, i wonder if there is any truth in this. I think a dog whi
  4. I was out with my young lurcher bitch the other day, when she was attacked by a white alsation. I've seen the dog with the owner before and he was the usual prick who unfortunately own such dogs (no offence to the good people who can handle these breeds). He struggles to hold the dog back but makes no attempt to chastise it. This time the dog was off the lead and when it see my bitch it was just head down and attack. Luckily my bitch dodged it hid behind me and generally managed to get out of its way, while i shouted at it and tried to stick the boot in The bloke apologised but that was n
  5. Good to meet you too, yes a day out in those orchards would be great
  6. Thanks Sue, i've covered the hole with bricks and will follow your advice in the morning Would'nt want to loose him, he's the smallest hob i've seen and is a real steady ferret. I'll put some photos up soon Cheers Magwitch
  7. It is But it's a hob.
  8. I know this may be a stupid question but can a small adult ferret get through 1" mesh. I have used some to cover the courts crap hole. Cheers Shepp
  9. I wonder if anybody has tried dry hopping? For those who don't know it's when you put raw hops in the beer often in a net bag after fermentation is finished, normally in the pressure barrel. I found the beer i made before was a bit one dimensional in flavour, so it could do with something a little extra. Ditch, what firms make the malt extract in the larger quantities, i've never come across it? Shepp
  10. Good on you Elmer, not many people stand by there guns like you mate
  11. From what i see at work, there's plenty of guys running around like blue arsed flys paying off the cards while the misses spends her time sat on her fat arse watching day time tv and shopping. Then he comes home to a ready meal or nuggets and chips because the misses is 'a busy mum / housewife' Remember no point buying a dog and barking yourself. Shepp
  12. Thanks stubby and sorley, got the offer to buy a nice little year old hob so i'll have him myself to work next season, mate him with my friends jill and have one or two of the kits to boot. You can always rely on the good folk on this site. shepp
  13. My friend has a nice small working jill which he wants a litter from. She will be coming into season hopefully quite soon and he is looking for a nice small working hob to mate with her. I will be having a couple of the kits myself so i'm happy to give someone a drink for the mating. I am looking for someone who lives within an hours drive of Heathrow Airport. Thanks, Shepp
  14. Poor fella, must be feeling pretty sorry for himself, hope he makes a full recovery.
  15. Nice dog mate, that fell collie blood should give it some stamina
  16. Charcoal dog biscuits might help the smell.
  17. Hi Oldskool, I think a first cross would come out looking very similar to her, going by photos i have seen, she just makes 22" tts. Thanks for your kind comments and inan too
  18. I am very happy with her John cheers, she's a great companion too, i take her all over with me and she's no trouble.
  19. I have a fell collie grey and she has all the attributes mentioned. I can not wear her out, she's as keen as mustard often going through brambles that only a terrier would tackle. One thing is she will hunt up on her own and often goes off out of sight for a bit too long, she young still so i'm working on keeping up closer. I think this must be the fell collie trait, she is a very good jumper too. Shepp
