  1. What would you like him addressed as then ? " The Dark Gentlemen " ?...............When someones just chopped a mans head off in broad daylight its a bit late in the day to be worrying about what names they get called !!..............Every group of people gets labelled with a name white black green tall short fat or thin blacks have no special dispensation...............particularly evil little blacks who run round randomly killing people. If you call calling someone a coon and chopping someones head off " going down the same road " then you live on a different planet to what i live on
  2. I agree with everyone else here they are scum ,and deserve to die, but calling him a c**n wont help.LIke it or not we are a mixed society now and hopefully racist names are becoming history, otherwise we are going down the same road as these arseholes. TOMO was calling them cu*ts mate ... His wife is black ........ I know K, I've been out with Tomo ,I was referring to the title of the thread
  3. Top man with a dog is Tom
  4. Seen this bitch run ,she can spin them,

  6. Thousands of soldiers went "over the top" , but the sensible ones kept their heads below the parapet when not in action. Why paint a bullseye on yourself?
  7. It has nothing to do with being afraid to promote your sport. I've had my tyres slashed and car keyed when out lamping, I left a cammo jacket in the car and had a dog guard and a slip lead on show in the back, lesson learnt. Not advertising your purpose for being in hot spots like Lincs and Cambs is common sense not cowardice, imo. Many of us were on the marches, and in situations when bollocks were required, quite a few of those are on this site.Boyo from your part of the world for example, ask him about Parliament square. Telling us to grow a pair is not exactly helpful in k
  8. hares breed all year round !:/ But anyone who tries to suggest that they do not have a period of the year where they are waaaaay more likely to do so (not to mention successfully rear the young) does not know much about the country side! And uses that as an excuse to run them in the summer. There is absolutely no need to run hares in the summer ,those that do so should at least be honest and say I don't give a f**k about sportsmanship, or coursing pregnant /nursing hares and the possibility of leaving leverets to starve to death I'm doing it because i want to.
  9. You're right Tomo, if you want stickers have RSPCA one and IWWF ones.Bunny Huggers R Us
  10. Good way to get your car keyed, tyres slashed, and followed by Plod in Lincs and Cambs, imo.
  11. I don't think the first comment I've underlined is particularly common actually. Some of those that have posted on this thread are experienced and very capable judges, that I've either judged with or observed . Usually judges are announced before hand, if one had an unsatisfactory experience with a judge and didn't think much of their ability to pickout the best dogs , why would you go back for more, and twice at that?
  12. I agree shows have had a real positive effect on the general condition of the dogs being shown, its rare now days to see a staring coat, nails curled over, teeth covered in plaque, and filthy ears on the entries. At the end of the day it is one man's/woman's opinion, and they can only judge on what they see. I'd like a pint for every hopeful who has told me, "this dog is mustard"," hoovers up hares/rabbits for fun".It may well do but that is not for the judge to accept or reject, his job is to pick out the best dogs in the ring , basing his choices primarily on conformation, moveme
  13. Around this time of year and on through the summer with monotonous regularity, we get the same complaints from those who have visited shows and come away unimpressed by the judges decisions. They sing the same tired old song " he/she didn't pick out working dogs". Its like "Groundhog day". I've done a bit of judging over the years, but I've never found the secret of how you assess a dogs working ability when it is in a show ring. Perhaps those who complain ad nauseum about show ponies being made up over workers could share the secret of differentiating between the two ,and how
  14. Is that the dog that the Pakistani lad ended up with? Its a monster course
  15. I've see quite a few killed in under 3 minutes on the fens in the winter, and given good slips too. there places on the fens that have shite hares and duffers. this january slipped my bitch on southsummer cotes fen killed first in under 30 seconds got straight on another off same slip killed that under a min. i dont kidd my self shite hares Some of the spots I referred to had good hares that were run regular.

  17. I too thought Socks youngster had met a sticky end ,glad I was wrong. Years ago I got knocked down by a small herd of cattle, my old dog stood over me ,barking them off, then as I regained my feet, he jumped the fence to safety.I wrote an article about it in the EDRD. Socks demands and receives a high level of obedience from his dogs,so letting one move cattle away is different to a dog uncontrollably chasing them around a field. Bovines on the prod are not to be underestimated.
  18. If that's directed at me ,I've given my reasons for shooting rabbits during the summer. I don't hunt with the my dogs during this time of year ,and wont start again until late Sept / October.
  19. Paid ferreting for a living in the summer months is different to deliberately going out after hares during the summer don't you think? The reasons given for coursing during the summer are excuses that don't pass close inspection, imo. "Bringing on a pup"," everyone else is doing it ",etc These are not valid reasons for killing pregnant /nursing does, imo. Rabbit control is a different ball game.I don't know how may hundreds of rabbits Magwitch and I have shot in orchards through the last few years, probably a few of thousand. Its pest control pure and simple, done to keep the per
  20. Yeah, the good old days, out at daybreak with your bow,and a quiver full of arrows, poaching the King's deer to feed a starving family. read your history mate.no kings deer or kings round here for us to worry about and no ban lol I was being a trifle ironic. BTW.see below. ps Sorry about the lack of deer,I'm still enjoying Sunday roasts from last season. High Kings of Ireland 846–1198 [edit] Mael Sechnaill mac Maele Ruanaid, 846–860 Aed Findliath, 861–876 Flann Sinna, 877–914 Niall Glundub, 915–917 Donnchad Donn, 918–942 Congalach Cnogba, 943–954 Domnall ua Neill, 955–978 Mael

  22. You must have been a busy boy if you know everyone in " the coursing game", and how they conduct themselves[, preban of course].Refresh my memory , when did we meet?
  23. building up confidence is key to sucess, if you had a young tallented boxer (im not reffering to fury) under your wing would you keep putting him in fights he was going to get beat or would you graduely bring him on ie go through amatuer career then step up into the professional league, in hunting terms a few easy rabbits etc some softer hares learning there trade where there not going to get a real bad tanking you wouldnt take a young sapling down to the fens mid january that had never seen a hare and start giving it 150-200 yard slips for 3/4 runs would you? No, once it was picking up
