whats the difference between 117 and 22?
zini replied to shadow_sniper's topic in General Airgun Discussion
In reality mass, diameter and weight buddy. This in return give different ballistic characters for each calibre. The larger and heavier .22 pellet travels slower in flight compared to the smaller and faster .177 pellet. By travelling slower it is effected for longer by gravity giving it a more pronounced parabolic trajectory from muzzle to the target. The added mass and weight of the .22 is better at defeating side winds when travelling to the target though so not as much windage adjustment needs to be applied. The added mass and weight also aids when striking the target as th -
Buy a NS200 and fit the screen forward as I do with mine. Also Nite Site produce packs of 5 screen filters now to dull the glow for around £7. I dont have trouble with glow or ir flare on my setup and have shot rabbits with it at close and far ranges. The other night my shooting partner Davy shot a rabbit with his HW100 T that I passed at 69 large paces. This rabbit was very clear at this range and we could see the whole outline easily. Im not a fox shooter but could easily see the NS200 seeing a whole fox outline over 120 to 150 yards. Si.

Hi Liam, People on here are trying to help you out and give you good sound advice. You seem to defend yourself and come back with answers that to many a sound hunter and air gun shooter are still not correct mate. Wether in your garden, in a barn shooting rats or ferals or in a field shooting rabbits there is a lot more to shooting than just pointing at a target with a cross hair and pulling the trigger. The species you are on about shooting, rats and ferals are not as easy as you think. As someone as already said shooting quarry at close range 2 to say 8 or 9 metres is harder tha

Spring air rifle shooting.
zini replied to pianoman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi mate, Yeah Ive spoke to Soi a few times too. I suppose every one as their own opinions and one man's rubbish is another man's treasure as they say. Dont forget that I asked Tony about the best springer for comp shooting i.e FT or HFT and the HW98 was his answer, for hunting it was a SFS Banshee (original HW95). I think the HW95 is the rifle that Tony can do and get the best results from as I know he rates them very highly as do I after owning 2 or 3 of them in the past. I'm at SFS in a week or so again mate filming and reviewing a new product called Microlon with Tony and th -
Hi there, In this episode of VerminHuntersTV I am back in the indoor rifle range again on request from some of our subscribers shooting a group with my HW97KT, talking about aids to gaining better accuracy, talking about rifle safety when using a sling and out on one of my permissions shooting rabbits for a stables owner who is having problems with rabbits digging in her horse paddocks. Please enjoy Si.

Spring air rifle shooting.
zini replied to pianoman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks Simon. That is good to know. I'm not sure what more than the stage 1 tune Tony does on the HW98 (he is sometimes very secretive and holds his cards close to his chest) but we (me and Davy) were assured that what ever he does, as a competition spring piston rifle, its the best that any rifle could be and is his choice over any other springer in the world . This coming from a man of his knowledge and status is something that I tend to believe so I'm going to go with his suggestion and purchase one for myself. Asked about the best springer he would suggest to go solely hunting -
Spring air rifle shooting.
zini replied to pianoman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Elliot, yes I think your right buddy. I have also heard its a 95 with a shroud and different stock. It doesn't surprise me really as the 95 is so nice to shoot once tuned and the added weight from the shroud would really assist in cancelling out any muzzle flip from the firing action hence giving the rifle added accuracy. I cant comment any more on it yet till Feb buddy but I will do a full report once I get it. Si. -

Just a bit of info that both me and Davy were told by Tony Wall this Saturday just gone when we went to visit him regarding springers. I informed him that now I will be moving down south (towards Swindon way) after Christmas due to my new job that I have now been offered that I was seriously thinking about joining the Southern Hunters series HFT circuit and car sharing with Davy. I said that I wanted to compete in the .22 calibre class and asked him (Tony Wall) if he was to advise on ANY springer in the world to use what would it be. Interestingly enough I was expecting him to say -
Do you mean the last shooter pal that hadn't been there for over a year? He just got board and sacked the permission off. I will be there again this Friday with my rifle and a guest shooter, Darryl (Marksman) as Davy unfortunately cant make it due to the start of the HFT session. Good luck on Sunday partner, give it to em. Si.

The next model should be called the A & M Custom Gunsmiths Vermin Sniper lol.
-
No straight from the shop as it comes is all you need and all we use. Its very very good. Si.
-
Brill news Darryl. Ive just been filming and mentioned it on VHTVs new up and coming episode. Well in A and M. Si.
-
Thanks lads and yes Aaron Davy does a cracking job of illustrating how good the unit is. There will be much more to follow. Si.
-
Yep Tony he was really chuffed. He phoned me earlier and wants us back this Thursday or Friday again. Just hope Davy can make it too. Si.
-
Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Yes Mac the mist as also come in in the Midlands too. When its in your better off sacking it and going home as like you say visibility is greatly reduced. Yes Roger I agree buddy. The bloke apparently got board of shooting the golf course and just let the rabbits breed. Mad when you think about all the lads that cant find permission and this guy got board lol.
-
Hi there in this episode of VerminHuntersTV both I and Davy are invited to a new golf course permission by a green keeper to try and cull some of the rabbits that are causing a problem by digging on the greens and in the bunkers. We are also showing you the difference between the actual Nite Site NS200 LCD picture filmed through a full HD Sony Handycam and a rubbish quality mini DVR that we are filming off. The actual NS200 picture on the LCD screen is very bright and clear and actually I would say 8 to 9 times clearer and better than what you are seeing recorded in black and white on

Best HD DVR for My Pulsar N550.
zini replied to Daz 7's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
If you want the best there is Daz then you are looking at Lawman PV1000 that Dogcam Sport are selling. It has a quality of 1280 x 960 so full HD and it as a built in 160GB hard drive. You can also use a SD card if required up to 32 GB. Its not cheap at £500 but if you really want the best footage possible and your serious about making shooting videos its the way to go a head. It's what me and Davy are getting to use on the channel with our NV equipment in Feb. Si. -
Nice read that pal. You will find a lot of the lads in this section now own and shoot a HW or a springer. Si.
-
Well not really past 120 yards lol.
