  5. stevO thats a good offer of sharing your knowledge,i think it would be a good idea to post it rather than pm the op so others could get a bit of insight on barf feeding.I know there are a couple of threads regarding barf but some thing dont always suit others.
  6. Matt,i think it has something to do with the texture.Mine used to ignore them,so i started cutting slivers of and feeding, they soon got the gist.
  7. Guessing it is a lurcher? if so then a completely raw diet may not meet the needs of a running dog especially if working hard, I'd use a carb source ie oats, pasta, dog biscuits etc as well. Get some lamb fat in it
  8. Yes i feed my 2 pigs trotters but i get the butcher to leave the hock on them,so theres a fare bit of meat.I also get a pigs head split in half, let them eat there fill then put it in the fridge till the next day.If theres any thing left after the 2nd feed off the head i give it to the ferrets.Oh before the dogs get the head i cut the ears off, boil them then roast in the oven, makes good chews.
  9. Anyone think listing the users on line in alphabetic order would be a good idea, just a thought as days like today about 200 users on line.

  12. Well seeing as it was a nice sunny day on Tuesday i thought i would empty my spuds, as all of the foilage had died off.I got around 20-22lb from 4 containers the seed potatos i used where king edward. Not the biggest of crops, but at least i havent grown them for the slugs/wireworm this year pic to show the size i used.

  14. To mince a complete rabbit inc bones your going to need an electric mincer. The good thing is you can get far more rabbits in the freezer if it is minced, the bad thing is the cleaning up of the mincer afterwards.(thats if you want to look after your mincer)I recentley shot 8 rabbits chucked the lot through the mincer with a bit of beef heart and made 16 meals for the dogs, put them in chinky takeaway containers with the date on.Freeze for 3 weeks then feed raw.
  15. Well out of 115 sturon sets i planted i managed to harvest 112 best crop ever.As a rule my onions always do well As soon as i had got all the onions up i planted a row of cauli`s The toms have done well also, not many left to see as i pick about 2lb every couple of days Peppers got booted outside as they where covered in greenfly Ginger sharing a pot with some tomato cuttings Sweetcorn almost ready Thanks for looking.
  16. colliejohn Thanks for the comments re peter, tried sending you a pm,your box must be full.Paul john hubery, hell that looks a very strong bitch,to be honest i thought i was looking at a dog not a bitch.
  17. minzy,i have to agree 100% what collie john says.I have a litter mate to typp`s dog arri, and all i can say is i couldnt wish for a better lurcher her obedience, loyalty, and rabbit catching abbilities are 2nd to none.I, like cj took an instant liking with typp in so much i go and camp a few miles from typp`s house sometimes twice a year and always end up on the fell with the dogs.If you do a search on my posts you will find some pics of my bitch and arri.
  18. Micky,a modded 22lr will be as quiet as your air rifle mate(inc FAC air rifle} the only noise you get is the thwack of bullet on impact.

  21. im glad this topic has been posted i might be able to help.i had been having the same problem because the pup had been peeing in her crate without giving a cry or whimper i just put an old tea shirt in her crate for her to sleep on,however the prob continued i thought to myself is she ever going to be clean.then i had a brain wave so i took out the tea shirt and put in a nice thick blanket, bingo a result she has never wet in her crate since.moral of the story she was waking up and was feeling the cold resulting in her peeing in her bed.try her a couple of nights on a warm blanket mate might wo
  22. well i took my pup (gwp x gsp) to see tom as i had noticed she had a slight stiffness in walking,i also took my lurcher for a once over at the same time as i knew she had suffered from a few pulled muscles WOW what a surprise i got pup has a pulled muscle near her stifle, but the lurcher had popped some discs in her spine,a pulled muscle in her front shoulder and a pulled muscle in her thigh. tom manipulated the discs back in place and stimulated them and the muscles.im well happy well worth the £30 he charged for both of the dogs,i also got some virginian amber massaging oil for £10.if any o
