I know people that have been stabbed and a lad that has been shot, but I also know a couple of young people that have beaten cancer because of today's advancements, what they more than likely would of died from 30 - 40 years ago.

    People are living longer, generally have a better standard of life, there's more awareness and advancements today when it comes to serious illnesses, no kid has to suffer from the sort of poverty people faced back then in this country. People are travelling more and seeing more of the worlds wonders, people have a better chance of furthering their education, and that's off the top of my head.     In all honesty, if you're pushed to the point where you really want to harm someone or even kill them, then I don't think you would care what the sentence is if you REALLY wanted to do it. I doubt they'd take into account if your child had been abused by the person you've hurt/killed seriously. I think they'd try and make out that they understood your anger but they'd just want to make an example out of you to show that they wont except people taking the law into their own hands.

    It's irritating, and I don't think the media should give them the platform to preach their bullshit (TV, News paper and Internet reports). They've got the right of freedom of speech as all of us in this country should have, but if they were ignored then they'd soon lose interest. It's a shame they get protected by the police, because I'd love to see each of them battered into a coma by an angry mob. As it is they're getting protection to preach their shite, they're getting recognised on the TV and each time they go out and get media coverage they'll want to do it more and more.
