  1. Find a pet home for the dog me thinks mate!
  2. I never really use Ebay, plus For the time I'd have to wait for it to be delivered, I think I'd rather pay the big fat greedy ginger sh*thead pet shop owner the extra couple of quid. cheers anyhow!
  3. If you've never fed you dogs bones then your dogs are missing out on essential calcium needed to make their own bones strong and durable. My dogs have all ate raw chicken/beef/lamb/rabbit (etc) bones since they were old enough to crunch them up.
  4. My dogs love the tripe from TPMS, but when I fed the dogs the frozen red meat mince from TPMS the dogs eyes started weeping! so I stopped giving them the raw red meat mince from them, no problems with the tripe though they love it and do well on it. I buy frozen chicken portions and frozen minced Beef from Iceland which is pretty cheap (Mince £2.50 and the Chicken portions are £3.00 I think). As well as that I get bags of off cuts from the Butchers by us for nothing. I also feed them rabbits that we get when we're ferreting and what ever else we catch that's edible. As people have alread
  5. Breast of lamb is excellent, in saying that your dog is just a pup and looks well to me. I personally don't feed bones to a pup until they have their proper teeth come through. Putting too much weight on the dog at that age will just be fat, it wont be packing on any proper muscle until its fully grown.
  6. I'm not the only one that's jealous then lol. Fair play TTM, you've done a great job this season mate!
  7. We've done a bit of rattin' in the snow earlier in the season, good crack my pup done an excellent job of it - Pup on the right -
  8. SLING IT !!!!! Im black HAHAHA Black on the inside lol.
  9. Well done lads, the dog does look a strong'un and if it grabbed the fox in the right place it could well of throttled it to death before you's got to him. A mate ours has white dog that has done it more than once before, so there's no reason why that dog of yours couldn't do it. A nice result as the season is coming to a close! Well done Sounder.
  10. Nice one mate, weather don't look bad your way, we've got snow around by us.
  11. I think that might be because he's not as mentally tough as the other terrier is, rather than because of his coat mate, I could be wrong but the dogs usually keep themselves warm enough with all the running about and are so occupied with sniffing about mooching that it shouldn't really matter about the weather. However, a good tough wiry coat is better for the bushing in the real thick prickly cover from what I've seen.
  12. Thats it mate, its an education, look how much you have learned just from your first dig now! Stick too it mate.
  13. Patts, Russells, Lakies It doesn't matter mate, just so long as its bred out of proper working parents that have proven themselves as good fox dogs.
  14. It's nothing to worry about mate, my 9 month old terrier does exactly the same, it's the nettles. It's quite funny to watch as the little shit wont sit still and starts body popping all over the place. I just giving him a good scratch all over and it seems to help relieve him.
  15. I can get it from farm ways in thirsk mate just round the corner from where I work. It about £7.50 for the little tub or 50 for the 2 kilo one They have to order it in for me though so I got to give them a couple of weeks notice aswell, its torcher getting hold of it couldnt find anywhere at first. Regards Ben Do you live down my way like mate??? Nah mate, not from up that way, I just wondered how much people usually pay for the powdered gear in the shops. I used to pay £9.99 from the pet shop by me, the thieving b*****ds! lol. Glad you've sorted it out mate!
  16. I sometimes wonder what this place is coming too when the first reply to a thread is someone taking swipes about a dog having a muddy coat, when the lad who started the thread done as well as he did. Bud9 fair play mate, I wish we had that sort of turn out in Charlie when we go out. Both dogs look bang on but the younger one really looks nice, keep up the good work mate!
  17. They're clearly young lads who didn't know any better, as they said its their first fox. Surely we should be applauding these youngsters for getting out there and giving it a go before anything else, OK it looks as though the Vicky is carrying, but I think they get the point now chaps, no need to keep banging on about it. Deeley24 and the rest of the lads that dug the fox, fair play to you I say! We all learn something new each time we go out, don't let anyone being overly critical put you off this sport, stick too it, make sure you learn from your mistakes and all the best for the future
  18. How do you pay for the powder version by you Hunting lad?
  19. Would of thought it was exactly the same stuff. I use the powder and have never had a problem with it. Regards Ben Yeah it is exactly the same stuff, but if the lad was giving say for instance a quarter of a tea spoon to his dogs, then the tablets might contain more than what they're used to deal with. I also found that when I give my dogs the powder, they would sometimes turn their noses up at their food if the powder wasn't mixed in properly. So I gave it to them mixed in properly with some raw minced beef and had no problems that way.
  20. I tell you what Pignut, you should have your own hotline for this sort of stuff lol, Nah cheers mate, you've been a great help. I'm glad to say it is already healing well. It's not a massive wound but was quite deep. There's a lot less puss and although it isn't fully closed up it seems to be closing up well now.
  21. Unless there's too much in the tablet version compared to what you gave it in the powdered version? Take them back to where you bought them from and tell them what the deal is with them, and get a refund or exchange them for the powder version. Then again it could be something else? How they getting on now?
  22. Feck me, there's a blast from the past! Last time I heard of that medicine, I was prescribed it to clear up my zits about 14 years ago! Who's the spotty git in your house AFT? :D Hope the dog heals up quickly mate. I got them off my mates bird, who comes out in a few small spots when she's on the blob! , the doctor told her she can have a life time prescription of them but she doesn't use them. She just uses them face washes for spots which she says work better for her, so she's getting boxes of them and passing them on to me Good girl! Cheers mate, I've been
