  1. I forgot to say this isn't a working dog just a lad I know owns it and keeps it as a pet.
  2. See if I get a few more replies before I say what he thinks it is and what I think it is .
  3. I'm no breeder but I'd imagine that as long as the bitch is in good health she'd be alright to breed from. Would it be more how many litters she's already had more so than age??? Like a bitch at 5 years old who's just been use to breed from constantly would be showing more wear and tear than a good strong healthy bitch at the age of 8 who's only had 1 or 2 litters previous?
  4. Are they decent workers? (the parents like) You'll have to sell them unless you've got some decent terrier lads to pass some pups on to maybe? f**k knows mate lol ? best of luck anyway.
  5. Would you have another one? or is it your opinion that as a X on a whole they aren't strong enough to deal with Charlie without taking too much stick?
  6. Any pics of that dog mate? Sounds an interesting cross.
  7. Relax yourself by thinking of that the Jagd terrier is made of British dogs (Fox terrier, and working Lakeland / Welsh terrier). ;) Anna Dont worry Panna it was a joke, we tell jokes over here in the UK dear .
  8. This a dog that belongs to someone I know, he told me that it was a certain breed, which I don't think it is, but what breed would you say it is? Getting his lead out of the tree - What breed would you say it is?
  9. Now now gents, this a thread about a type of working terrier, no need for this sort of behaviour lol
  10. If you keep picking your dog up and panicking like you did you will probably cause more problems for your pup than good every time a (big) dog comes over for a sniff, you've gotta let your dog interact with other dogs or it could lead to some problems you could do with out. The lads probably had the dogs off their leads knowing that they are fine with other dogs and people? You do get some muppets out there granted, but most working dogs that I've come across are good with other dogs and need to be in order to work with other dogs. I think it might be a case of you over reacting a litt
  11. I don't agree with that. Some dogs just haven't got it no matter how many chances they've been given by a good owner. I do think the owner has a lot to do with it, and 1 mans utter shite could well be another mans pretty decent and then there's different X's for different jobs I suppose. It's hard to say really, all depends what you want the dog for doesn't it. I suppose it comes down to if the dog is doing what you want of it then that's all that matters doesn't it. Not a dog that will just do but a dog that you can work with confidence and be happy with (much) more often than not
  12. Ey, the Bull X is guaranteed mate, no worries there but I plan on having more than one Lurcher mate . good good just been speaking to the lad with dutches litter brother, says the same as you unreal nose and game as f**k Good to hear, should be some good dogs about to start next season mate.

  14. I can't believe this, I thought it was bad enough us being pushed out of work by cheap labour from abroad, now it looks like our dogs are going to be without graft with all this interest in jagd terriers and what not!!! British jobs for British Dogs I say!!! Hehehehe .
  15. When you put the collar on the dog, make sure the receiver is sat underneath the dogs neck out of the way, rather than sitting on the back of its neck. shouldn't get in the way then. All the best.
  16. I thought the same thing mate, does look like him don't he! Some really nice dogs on this thread, I don't know much about the lines when it comes to these dogs, would Smithfield be a line of Beddy/Greyhounds Lurchers? Are BeddyXGreys generally better on Rabbit than what Beddy/Whippets are? or do the Beddy/Whippets tend to make for better dogs for rabbit? its like every cross mate good and bad. If you get a good one there hard to beat heart of a lion smash into anything work till they drop dog is almost nine no sines' of slowing down game as he has ever been and when i say game i
