  1. This might be a daft question and I bet I get slated for it but oh well! Does playing with a pup say winding it up with a skin from a young age improve there hunting skills heart and determination. The pup I have was chasing and playing with a skin right from the start it loves it! But my mates pup born the same time is not anywhere near as playful and is just not showing the same instincts is this just in the breeding of the dogs or could it be because it was played with from a very early age? Now surly this has to improve there hunting ability but I mite be wrong.
  2. update on pup bred by royston2 playing with a rabbit skin, shes a natral retriver even at 8 weeks try not to do to much with her dont want to mess it up , but she keeps bringing shoes and things to me as well as retriving anything you throw! heres a few pics
  3. i dont understand why people buy them as working dogs knowing for well they have not been bred worker to worker when there are millions of good litters out there, ok his dogs look the part but i wouldent like to be the one running the risk, maby just because im to soft to get shot of it if its not a good worker.

  8. thanks, the whippets not to keen on it she wont harm it just doesent like it constently jumping up at her. nothings wrong with a kennel just i dont really like the sound of a thin wooden non-inselated shed with no run.

  19. wow somone else that runs propper whippets lol nah mine rarly shiver either. can these KC certificates be blagged, can people introduce greys and terrier blood into the breeding and still keep them kc registered so they can charge a arm and a leg! it must be happening surly 23" for a whippet thats just a short coated lurcher! the kennel club is just a load of rubbish it seems to be ruining breeds more than anything!!!
  20. 50% veg oil works out ad 50p a liter from sainsburys (free from chip shops just got to filter it) and 50% diesel at 97p a liter, bit of petrol to thin it out and your sorted. smells like a kebab van but who cares!
  21. that made me chuckle i think you mite find hay nets a bit thick not sure the rabbit will tangle in it very well but by all means have a go and let me know how it goes plus that would me an expencive way of doing it unless like me you cant be bothered with untagiling hay nets so just get a new one. i said haylege nets as i can get these for free and they are much thiner and small holes ? i have never needed my own nets as i always ferret with a friend who has far more kit than all of us could ever need and like i said just putting it out there sorry dint know there was a diff
  22. anyone got a copy of the dvd im still trying to get to grips with it, a few of the knots came undone when trying to follow the instructions i posted above and the rest wernt much better but that mite have been just me.
