  1. Is this the same victim as yesterday? Looks like Valleyshunter from yesterday. Hope the lads get the dogs back.
  2. Get your mums blessing on the critters before making the jump into ferret keeper! That's the first step!
  3. With a good year to think about things since the dog was stolen, I think I'd be raging as this point. It's a second chance, and fate that this has happened.
  4. Had a piece of ally bar about 5 ft long and 1/2" diameter I was going to use as a probe for the mole runs, It's an old lightning spike of a telecoms tower, light as a feather, but I cut the damn thing in half. Probs would have suited a few of you lads. Damn.
  5. I'd say make a vote on it, we could have THL IDOL tonight! Only one version would be at the top, Buckley is deffo the best, even though he didn't write it.
  6. How long do they need to be really?
  7. It must be fate! Looks like you'll be ferreting this xmas!
  8. Nice one Andy, shame you cannot take a dog on there with you, it would make life a lot easier for you mate!
  9. I take it these are the components you meant, checked 2 boxes, but no markings of any sort on them, I'll check the 3rd box when I get it out of the motor at the weekend.
  10. Just saw one team on neighbouring land this weekend.
  11. Alreet Will young un! I know for a fact if i didn't dig i'd only get half the rabbits at best, maybee even a quarter of them, even if i was using jills! I'll have you digging yet!
  12. Brimmer ..... you sound like Trigger off Only fool's and Horses with your spade, He said he had the same Broom for 17 year's !!!! It had only had 6 new head's and 4 new stales ...... Good morning out tho mate ... You should of bellied them bunnie's to make it lighter work back to the motor Cheers bud, yep exactly like that! Should have took the engine an box out of the bunny's really, but never seem to have the time during the day!
  13. Nice one mate, looks like the locater is paying off now! You'll soon be digging as much as me! Nice bag.
  14. If it's never going to be used for fox, then a terrier which is a little more placid can be an asset. The sight of seeing a terrier running off over hill and dale yapping after a rabbit, then the next, then the next can be a bit of a bind! I think most russell's not even workers, when brought up in the right enviroment will take to what you want one for. (start them as early as possible, it stops them from running rabbits they stand no chance at!)
  15. Will have a good look at the 3 we have 'tmoz' What do they look like and where are they situated?
  16. cheers for the comments lads, just preped the rabbits ready for thursday night, havin some mates round for rabbit nuggets Missed this with being offline Chez my man! Looks like you felt the cold like us! Good on you for getting out, and good to see lads working to get the land rather than just walking it!
  17. Try the 1/2 kilo blocks of frozen meat you can get from some pets store wholesaler's. Some do beef, chicken, tripe , rabbit and lamb. (The beef and chicken seem the best) I bring my kits up on this, with a little biscuit mixer, until the season kicks off!
  18. Just make a pest of yourself for a few days, you'll soon get sent out of the house!
  19. The blade is already the size of a teaspoon to start with Andy, really it's a bit too small, and lacks the angle on the head a little (it's a bit too straight!) for lifting a lot of the loose out from deeper digs. (3ft down) It is a cracking spade for the shallower stuff (by the way it's a bulldog rabbiting spade). I had a bulldog roundmouth I cut down years ago, it's been re-shafted 3 times, but there's not much left of the head now, this was ideal, a bigger head with more angle, plus a D handle rather than a T handle. The D handle is ideal for getting a grip when it's cold and your hands
  20. That's fascinating to see it! Will keep an eye open for things like that in the future, never ever seen anything like it!
  21. Think it's how much broken English along with swearing he learnt from me to be honest! Why can't these call centre's be somewhere they understand people? (must admit, the guy's on the line were very helpfull and patient, and got the problem sorted for me!)
  22. Could have been thinned out by the baddest of critters like you say. It's doing your job for you! give the mink a cut!
  23. Right, been offline since Sunday morning, seems like ages. After several calls to India, i have finally got back online just an hour or so ago, so Sunday's work is now here. Got up into the hills once again, to find the snow from the previous Friday that had melted, had been replaced by another couple of inches. It was a great novelty to start with, but three weeks of it and around 6 days out, it has lost it's appeal! Allthough, a few interesting prints along the way! And the odd crime scene! Followed this stoat kill for about 100 yrds of dragging the kil
  24. I'd probably think thats enough for two days food for 2 jills, but size can dictate the difference. The day before work, i'd probs only give them a back leg between the pair.
  25. Must be shaped like me then!
