Missed this thread Whin. Good to see the piccies of the black and white bitch mate, looks exactly like some of the older dogs back down the line we had. Is she anywhere near coming in yet? If you need a line quick give us a shout mate, i'll sort something. Thats some fox the dog Luke had.

Sound mate! Great feeling getting one of the team back, didn't think it would be too long. (I'm sure it was just kids who probably just sh#t it when they could not catch them up after opening the cage!) Little sh#ts!

How about setting the dates between two boundary dates next year, if anyone backs down they are out! (or is that the plan this year, run in the month?) LDR good man for running the show, there is always going to be knockers, (Not a great pair type!) and if they do not like it tough, they are not the one's running things! Seen some good sportmanship in the reports of the heats so far.

Cheers Tomo We've talked about for years, and only in the last few weeks my old mans dealing one up of a farmer he does the moles for. It will make life a lot easier mate. It's just the secure place to keep it, I need to get a shipping container at my mates farm which will cost maybee 500 quid, then I need to build a trailer which can carry the quad there, and then be towed on the land. Probs cost us another 300 quid to make. It's the only way i'll get him up there again!

Saw those lttle shovels at my local fencing suppliers and picked one up, they weigh absolutely nothing, and look strong enough for all but the heaviest of digging. Handy little piece of kit for the price!
-
Do you think sometime in the future somebody willl remake these boards as a replacement part? I know they are patented, but it's never stopped people manufacturing fake goods in the past. Sure an electronics whizz could manage it. By the way, no markings on the chips on the third box.

Nice one! Think I'd be leaving the digging alone if it showed 16 foot! Is that one of those Rolson babby spade's you have?
-
Superb illustration that! What could be simpler!

well do brimmer. what locator do you use mate? Just the old one Chez, but it's days are numbered to be honest!

Is your dog in the lamping comp ??. I am sure a pure whippet will never be the winner of a lamping comp with lurchers of greyhound breeding but maybe in a comp with dogs of similar size and weight.. if your dog is suited to the work you give it then fairplay to ya.. thats what counts................ Why would either of them be in the lamping comp, I don't lamp? I spend all day out in the hills working my dogs. 8-9 hrs a day, 2-3 days a week, sept till feb. lamping suits a straight whippet better than any other type of work, if it cannot hold its own here then where does it stand? Size

Is the dog behavior not normal or summit?
-
Just out of a matter of interest, how many pure whippets are in the lamping comp? This is the best chance of a proving if ever I saw one, A few hours in the lamp? I am sure an exceptional dog will be the winner in this comp.

You're right !!! A whippet can't round up sheep; it also isn't much use as a police dog, can't pull a wild boar, rescue people from avalanches, fight a pit bull, in fact theres loads of things a whippet can't do !! Why on earth are they still bred ??? LOL !!! Cheers. Oh they can fight pit bulls Chartpolski! :11:

Nice one Andy, i'll have you digging soon mate! Bladdy devil nets, it worked 100%, but took 30 mins to run out and take up every setting, life is deffo too short. If i'd have set the net on every warren today, we would have had around 12 rabbits! BRING IN THE BLADE!
-
Aye he's taught me a bit to be honest, wish he'd remember some of it thats all!
-
Look, this is a silly discussion, why had the old boys bred lurchers? Cause 3-4 yrs later they were still going, and doing SERIOUS graft. If whippets had the brain, stamina, durability of a collie, why does every hill farmer choose a collie to bring his sheep in every time? Why not use a whippet? A whippet can show a lurcher a few tricks, but it's only short term, and i like whippets!

Cheers Micky lad, yes I should stop pushing him so hard, but the years of torment are finally being repaid! You cruel man brim ha ha my ole man only 53 and i wouldn't be able to drag him up that he likes flat ground soft bugger wait till i show him this post i'l shame him Yep remember dads, you may torment the kids, even till they cry in a furious rage, unable to do anything. Well 30 yrs later it all swings back round the other way! Poor old bugger!

Thats what it's all about! Those memories stick with you forever!

Tremendous work, only smiles! Kids seem to take to the hunting lark better young before they have any opinions twisting them! Pictures paint a thousand words!

Everyone looks like they put a lot of effort in, but it's the one's out of the piccie that really worked! The Ferrets! Don't have much time to photograph these fellas, i've always got the blade going, shame really, there the big hitters in the outfit!
-
Can't do that Charlie lad, not even paid the old feller for it yet! Naw the devil net is worth it's weight in gold when there are a few bunnies around, it is always worth hanging on to. It's just when there is only a few around, it becomes a burden setting and taking it down, just for the critters to nail everything underground!
-
After Saturdays bismal performance, I bullied the old feller into actually walking for once! (should'nt do it really he 70 yr old) but really needed to get on fresh ground rather than clearing odd's and ends up. The snow had gone (at last) and also looked a decent day, so we hit the ground as high as we go on our land! The top of the hill is where we were going, this is halfway up! Took only one of the young dogs, 3 ferrets, our dinner, and 'A LONGNET' nooooooooo! Took us a while to walk up there, had to keep stopping for the old feller, who found every excuse in the book to stop,

Only 4ft and only one dig? Not nice having to do that really when it's the back end of the day, and darkness is drawing in! Well in lads, good show.
-
That little vole does not like your net one bit mate! Nice to see you out again Brad, how did the new poley do and have you heard anything about the other ferret yet?
