  1. Give em an inch and they'll take a mile! Good job you spotted the hole, another day they'd be out!
  2. Lads got permission Scotty, this is just his proof to the powers that be to save him a load of trouble mate!
  3. Nice looking dog there. My sort of dog that.
  4. Must admit, it does look a little worse for wear. Managed to get off the mark last year in the IOM from the shore. Tope are awesome and deserve every bit of respect, and should be returned as soon as. I had three, and these are my mates. These were caught over 3 tides, hit at the right time. Went back in early September, weather was against us and didn't get one between us. Tope are something else, never had a fish that can pull you towards the water before with electrifying speed.
  5. Sorry Matty, looks like there's more chance of Kelly Brook waking up in my bed in the morning, mind you I'd still leave her there to go out rabbiting at 6 o'cock oh I mean clock! Seriously, good permission is hard won, and a struggle to hold on to. It's never given to any of us pal.
  6. Cracking thread Micky lad, makes me wonder if any of the dogs we run over here could handle life that those dogs do. Some of them will be running in really hot conditions during the day, and some will be coming up against some fearsome quarry at one time or another.
  7. Same as what Doddsy has just said, also a good dog can put you in the general area of the action. If a collar fails you may not be able to hear anything, but a decent set of ears and a good nose of a dog can usually get you close.
  8. It's murder when that happens, your somewhere near breaking through and they move. Decent day out Halfinch, border looks a picture! Try a shovel with a bit more angle on the blade, it's a lot easier to lift out the loose at that sort of depth.
  9. Well in and some top blading going on in the background! Fingers crosssed I'll get a blacky this year!
  10. Dog is sound with the ferrets, they just mosey through his legs without a care in the world. Only put him on the lead as he would scare any of the bolters back down on a deep warren with his whizzing about. He's over 8 yrs old now, he was a complete b*****d as a younger dog, fighting with other dogs, pulling cats out from under cars, tearing things up to get to rats and just generally doing as he pleased, he dodged the bullet a few times, but never been any trouble with the ferrets, he sees them as part of the team, and living in the yard together they all seem to get along well. Training h
  11. Its a toss up whether to take the terrier or the old feller next time! Certainly didn't get told what to do all day today as usual. Peace at last!
  12. Old feller couldn't make it today so I used the opportunity to try out the 2 late litter jills and took my russel for the ride. If he wasn't so damn antisocial he could come every time, but you all know what terriers are like. Got there and it was a grim wet morning, and very dark. I was just going to do 2 small fields across from the farm as a few had been showing there, does not look good to the farmer if he can see them from his window! The russel started off a bit fast, and it took him an hour or so to settle in, hence the lead to start with. He soon settled down an
  13. It might be a pull Donk. Just ask them if they want to come back and see your ferret!
  14. Use good jills, as hobs are a dreadful buisness arent they brim Dreadfull for shovel shy young uns!
  15. Good show once again Mawitch. Looks a cold old spot in the morning mist!
  16. Is the tiny screw that holds the dial tight? Sometimes they come loose and dont move the pin underneath.
  17. Is the collar deffo working? Just unscrew and tighten the cap a few times, sometimes things burst into life then. (Should be good with new batteries though.)
  18. Crikey Matty, some of those digs sound like they'll be below sea level there! 16ft is seriously deep.
  19. Whatever I do, then do the opposite!
  20. That grey is a cracking looking bunny! Still to get a blacky yet this year, thinking it's never going to happen!
