  1. One simple answer is to house them seperate. But i know its a lot of fuss getting another cage. Also a carry box with seperate compartments would have to be used. I know usually over time they get used to each other, but some takes ages to settle down.
  2. The breeding of a dog is only part of it. The making of the dog only comes from the work you put in.
  3. Nice to see a collie at the job. Not sure whats going on with the piccies, have you cropped and enlarged them?
  4. Nice one! You got three more than me this weekend!
  5. Nice pics, nice bag and cracking dig fellers! Keep up the good work!
  6. Cannot find the words to describe the video.
  7. Any number of collars can be picked up off the one box.
  8. Its amazing to think in only half a century of an animal being introduced, a whole industry was being set up around the rabbit, with mixi bringing a close to it. Shame. It shocks me how many rabbits were being exported to the uk. In the first extract Shaun, it names one of the exporters as Borthwicks. Borthwicks was a name of a slaughter yard local to me, (Think its called Woodhead Brothers now.). Wonder if it was the same firm?
  9. Nice one Shaun, those pics have warmed me up a bit after spending all day on the quad bike gritting.
  10. Scumbags for sure! I think i have just found a use for the wild feral ferrets, coming to an unlocked cage near you! Ouch!
  11. Thats the way to bring em on Salmon! Start em young and clip there ears a few times!
  12. Aye the little jills can take some hammering off a big buck, you know how it feels when you are stood on top of a shallow tunnel and feel them battering away. We had a jill years ago got both its eye's popped out from the rabbits foot giving it an uppercut. Shame to hear about it.
  13. Awesome reading Shaun. If you come across any more let us know its much appreciated. wonder if they would have still released mixi if they knew the impact it would have?
  14. Missed this, nice one Moe, shame the mixi has done it's dirty work. Give it a year or two and things will come good!
  15. Sounds like the critters are all in good hands! Cheers chaps. Stealthy the 100 yr old thing took a year to work, when filling out the profile it only let me put 99 yrs old down, been waiting a year for that!
  16. I know that everybody has their ferrets best interests at heart, but after having a walk with the dog just a few minutes ago, have found myself out in what has to be the coldest and clearest night i have known in many years. Temps have been forecast in minus 8's from what i have seen. It may just be worth that extra visit to the hutch or court just to make sure they have enough bedding or dampness has not crept into it somehow. Got to be worth a check!
  17. Once again another thankyou to John. The mk 6's arrived to day after being posted on Tuesday. Great service at this time of year with the amount of parcels that must be going round!
  18. Wow thats one serious bag Shaun! It would take me all season to muster up that many.
  19. Good work young un, cracking job on the skinning, how long does it take you?
  20. Nice one FV. Sterling work and write ups mate. I take it that albino is a hob, how big is he?
  21. RIP S&J Good work and bag by the way. Just re-shaft the spade, you only really need to worry when the blade wears out!
  22. A couple of times mate. There's a big fuss, but usually they just try to evict your ferrets. Every one i have had dealings with are strong massive lumps, nobodys working ferrets are in the same league as these. I'll try to get some film of the beasts when I start putting the cage traps down. Shame they have to go really.
  23. Must be loads of them. Started coming across the odd one in the warrens last season. They seem to set up camp in the big warrens, picking off the residents, It's funny how there can still be rabbits living in the big warrens when one of these is at home. Usually you hear your ferrets hissing and letting off the scent when they come up against them. I've dug down locating a ferret thinking its on a kill, but when i've got through, its been eating a half eaten rabbit corpse, amongs a pile of fur and bones. (Much like you find in your own ferrets bed chamber.) This year there must have been a lot
  24. Nice bit of blade action Salmon. Is a Spear and Jackson? The blueys are bonnys looking rabbits.
