Far away in the tropical waters of the Coral Sea, two prawns were swimming around. One called Justin and the other called Christian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area. Finally one day Justin said to Christian, 'I'm fed up with being a prawn; I wish I was a shark, and then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten.' A large mysterious cod appeared and said, 'Your wish is granted' Lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark. Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate. Time passed

Scottish snaring course.
John Keswick replied to events co-ordinator's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
The best thing to do in situations like this where ridiculous laws are imposed for no good reason is: simply ignore them, and if everyone followed suit what could "they" do? Every f****r moans about paying the tv license or road tax, if EVERYONE stopped paying it, the authorities would have no choice but to bend over and take it up the arse. Too many sheep in this country. -
TrapWorks - Snare making step by step dvd
John Keswick replied to donky7's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Arguing over a poxy snaring dvd? Simple fact is: times move on. Like Matt says, better filming techniques come along, better cameras etc. Still havent seen any modern trapping or fieldsports films being done in hd yet though. Blu Ray burners are two a penny now but still folk are too scared to do it. Some of the big blockbusting films are reincarnations of older films, people still manage to watch them without complaining. All this fuss seems to stem from one or two folk with over inflated ego's who want/think that they are legends who will go down in the history books as the great -
What pisses me off is the bbc website, funded by our taxes for the whole world to use at their pleasure. If we have to pay for it, then we should be the only ones able to use it. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/pda/2010/jul/06/bbc-online-licence-fee

I seriously doubt that anyone in the UK government would have the balls to put a stamp next to anything that could be remotely considered terrorism, f**k me! they cant even put old abu on a plane out of the country without a nod from Brussels

Are you going to pull the lever on the bum smacking machine? I think it would be much better to bring back capital punishment for them instead!

Actually, the germans used hydrogen cyanide the same gas as cymag produced. The gas pellets you can get nowadays, phostoxin or talunex produce phosphine gas.

Bloody hell, all this time and it was right in front of my face, not obvious though One or two of the other forums i use have it sorted so when you hover over the title for a few seconds it sends a ajax request (like the function on here), just seems a more simple way of doing it. Oh well, at least i know now.

One or two forums that i use have a thread preview facility, you hover the mouse over the heading before clicking on to read in full and small box appears and gives you the first x amount of characters of the initial thread. I think this would be a great addition to this forum and would save a lot of bandwidth and would prevent folk clicking onto threads that are obviously not what the heading suggests. Nothing more annoying when you expect to see a thread about tits and it ends up about feathered birds Just a thought...

The fella that ownes my local village shop has a mk1 mexico sat on his drive rusting away. Refuses to sell it because it was his sons car, his son was killed in the hurricane back in the late 80s so i suppose it has some sentimental value. Total waste in my opinion, but has probably gone past the point of restoration now anyway.

Totally agree. Remember 9/11 when they were fliming the folk jumping out the towers and showing them die live on tele. I just watched the sky news clip and she thought that the two women were aware of the situation and the first one said that she was. What was she supposed to do when she realised that they didnt know. Tell them to go and find out. That would have appeared insenitive. As usual there is an over reaction from people on here and all over the world, no doubt on twitter.

I would suggest by what you have written that you are setting the talpex traps in the wrong way. These traps work on the principal that the tunnel has collapsed, so if you had set the trap in the correct way, it would be impossible for the mole to push soil into the trap, as there would already be soil in the trap.

gotta agree with that, massive piece of fish for your dollar an all, been there some years that one. Been there too, several times and have to agree, probably one of the best fish n chip shops i have been to,

I know it’s a bit of a contentious issue on here, but I feel it’s totally unfair to leave out curried potatoes, especially considering their exceedingly good taste.

If your young enough, do a computer science course. Try to get into the security industry, preferably working for the mod. Employed you would be on 50k a year, if you went as a contractor you would be on 3 times that. Women mechanics? Whats that all about I think everyone here knows that a womens job is a proffesional washer upper...
