pickaxe these lads are only youngsters and at leat they are getting out with their dogs and doing a bit even if its only rats better than the dogs locked up day in day out till te season starts ...... jordan when you actually own a dog and get out with it then your opinion will be worth something ...........

tinned meat is %70 water ... if you cant feed fresh then give them a good complete meal instead .........

todays sheep dip is far to strong for dogs as it has been specially produced for just sheep ... you ask any farmer and none of them will put their dogs through todays dip .........

so you obviously know who told me ... i was talking to the lad nearly 3 weeks after i told you that vet was still open and he said that you hadnt gone and the tooth had come out on its own ... now miraculously you whent the next day ...............

the distance that dog ran was 480 meters ... the track record for that distance is 28.08 .... i have just been promted by cupid stunt and he is correct the distance and time for that race is all wrong as the bitch has done a 28.53 around that track .....

Good post mate - Someone said if its in them ,then waiting will do them no harm but the opposite is true as well.You just have to know your stock and know how to nuture the younster.Starting a pup at any later than 2 years old would you still treat it with care or regard it as a adult and expect the same from it as others of the same age ,but working steady .?.There are no hard and fast rules in dog work and the day we all agree will be a sad day . no matter how old the dog is when it starts work you still have to enter it correctly and not rush in .... that said if they are fully matu

the hardest dog we have in the kennel curls up and goes to sleep when another dog is working and shows no interest untill he is let of the ead and collered up ... then whetever is below ground is in for a world of hurt :11: :11: :11: ... so just because its screaming at the entrance of a dig it doesnt mean its ready to go .... to many people dont know how to read a dog and get the best out of it ... thats why so many people fail with their dogs ............

there are plenty of ways of curing kennel fighting and plenty of other work you can give a youngster to take the edge of his fire ... putting him to ground just because he is firing for a fight is a sure way to ruine a young dog .... i have seen dozens of terriers that wanted to fight the world and would have if allowed ... but put them in an earth and it was a different story .........

i have come to my decision after a long time keeping terriers and seeing what has happened to very well bred promising youngsters that were entered very carefully and slowly ... but the outcome has nea5rly always been the same with these young dogs .... after wittnessing the effects of numerouse dogs not being entered untill they are at least 2 years of age i have come to my decision .... each to their own but i will stick to this method from now on ..........

all my futer terriers are not going near an earth untill they are 2 years of age from now on and are tottaly mature both physicaly and mentally .... there have been a fair few instances of this over the last coupkle of years that have led me to this desicion .........

a 4 month old grey pup shouldnt be on form of exercise routine ... all he needs is free running .... if he isnt somewhere that this can be done and he is in an ordinary run then take him out 3 times a day to a field and let him do his own thing for half an hour ...........

THEM YOUNG KITS NEED A LOT OF WATER AND FOOD TO KEEP THEM GOING AND THEY SHOULD CERTAINLY BE OFF THEIR MOTHERS MILK BY NOW ... ALSO I KNOW THE KITS ARE IN A HUTCH IN A GARAGE .... HOW HOT IS IT IN THERE .........

i had to do this many years ago when somebody was looking after my dogs when i was away on holidays ... the bitch had 2 liters after this one of 9 and one of 11 ... all big healthy pups ... here a pic of one of them at 6 weeks of age .........
