  2. Glad to hear that you like the gun Sean and nice shooting by the way. All the best Freddy
  3. Nice mate. Good luck with that. I will stick with my crunchy nut i think. Less lead in that. Still hunting paper is more than I can do at uni so who am I to mock you. All the best mate. Freddy
  4. Thought you were stuck with paper at the moment Michael. Does that go in the pot too or is it a bit tough for you? Most of my stuff when I am at home goes to a very nice lady down the road who cooks some nice pigeon pie etc which I often get some of. But when I get the chance I will start cooking it myself. Until then anything that doesn't get cooked goes to a friends hawks. All the best Freddy
  5. Well being 7 shy of 200 is nothing to be ashamed of and I am sure the land owner is very pleased with your work. I know i would be if I was them. Although if I was them I would be out there joining in. ATB Freddy
  6. Shouldn't be long now though what are you at? 190 odd?
  7. I think I might need a tissue too. But I am crying because I want one so much but just can't have one as apposed to drooling. Oh well one day. Nice work as always midge. Freddy
  8. Good shooting guys. Nice to know someone is keeping the population down. I don't seem to be seeing many rats here at the moment. Seems you have still got your hands full controlling them. ATB Freddy
  9. Good bit of hunting there mate. I am sure mr badger will appreciate the treat. ATB Freddy
  10. Again, lovely piece of work midge. Think his performance might take a bit too much time to be on britains got talent though. Pity as that is one incredible talent. All the best. Freddy
  11. Genius. Pity you didn't think of that one Ron, then you would have been able to do it. Would have had to be mint coloured too. Right well I am off walking for a week in the dales and the lakes so won't be on till next friday. All the best Freddy
  12. Fair enough. The daystate was probably the more expensive gun but if it doesn't feel right for you then there is no point in having it. Good choice. ATB Freddy
  13. It's just J davies speculating again. As far as I know there are no official plans as yet for anthing like this. ATB Freddy

  16. Welcome to the site mate. You will find lots of useful info in the airgun section. By the way, do you know anything about brown magpies? We are currently having a debate about them in the airgun forum. ATB Freddy
  17. Nice work mate, very nice indeed.
  18. Looking good BBB. My grandad has all sorts of animals in a cabinet in his office. Not sure if he has a rabbit I will have to take a look, would be interesting to know if any of them were his firsts. ATB Freddy
  19. You would have to put something over the hole to hit to show the pellet hole. However we would still have to believe that you didn't just poke it. I am sure you wouldn't lie though as not really worth it. Can I assume you will be using a .177 for this test. Don't think you have any chance with a .22. Pellets to big I would think. Happy polo hunting Freddy
  20. Do you mean for the rifle or the licence? All the best Freddy
  21. They might have made the hole bigger though so less mint. Would have the same effect. Freddy
  22. Welcome to The Hunting Life. Go find the boards that interest you and get stuck in. ATB Freddy
  23. Any chance of a mod stickying this. I think it would be of much use to lots of members who get new guns and want to know where to start pellet testing. And if it was stickied then maybe more people would add to it. Anyone? All the best Freddy
  24. It was obviously a response to a "Frequently Asked Question". Question: Should I make my own air rifle? Answer: NO!!!!!! :nea: :headshot:: <<< I think that describes it exactly. All the best Freddy
  25. Alot of 12ft/lbs air rifles can in theory kill a rabbit up to 50 yards. If the person knows how to shoot it, if the conditions are right and if the pellet hits the kill zone. A rifle does not kill a rabbit at fifty yards unless someone aims it and pulls the trigger. And considering this is someone who is buying their first air rifle they won't (hopefully) be shooting at anything alive for a while untill they learn how to shoot the rifle that they buy. Even then not many experienced shooters will use a 12ft/lbs gun at 50 yards as the chances of getting a clean hit are lower. So telling some
