Aaron mate the bit you can see there is the underlever cocking mechanism. Its just a different way of cocking the gun. Nice shooting by the way hyperion, a few less rats is always a good thing. What did you hit that pidgeon with looks like you blew its back off. I guess its just bit of excess blood just looks like you hit it with something huge. Again nice shooting and cheers for the sunset pics. ATB Freddy

I would buy a gun lamp to be honest mate. If you are ahving to drive your car around everywhere then your stalking isn't going to be much cop. Oh and if you are planning on staying on the roof of the car while its moving I can see that going horribly wrong. Wouldn't advise it. If you have got 4 acres and lots of bunnies then a lamp would be well worth the money for the practicality. Hope that helps Freddy

Yes you can PM whenever you like RaiderBoy. However I wil say now that I know nothing at all about the triggers on a webley raider so I won't be able to help with that. Maybe it was just that there was no one there to help at the time. Give the thread a bump so people see it and see what answers you get. Freddy

I have never used one myself I was just wondering. Couldn't see the point in buying one for my air rifle either as for the distances I am shooting I can estimate pretty well the distance and if not I pace out some obvious markers like a tree and work from there. Works for me and walking is cheaper than a rangefinder to. Keeps me fit aswell.

This is supposed to be a thread about technology and as far as i know you can't mount a tramp to an air rifle so why mention it. Lets keep it on topic. This thread has already been restarted once because people could not stay on topic so if you want to talk about something else then please do it somewhere else. Start another thread of whatever. As for Night vision. I would love an NV add on for my scope as alot of the rabbits I shoot seem to be very lamp shy. However the only problem with all this technology is as always £££££££££'s. But night vision is definately one bit of techn

I am always willing to help aswell. PM me if ya need something and Scuba is not about. Scuba knows what he is about so listen to his advice. Freddy

Aaron mate I don't think this is the place to bring this up not after the arguements of last time anyway. What we are saying here is that people who suggest things such as using a gun without a scope should have it explain to them why it is wrong rather than just being shouted at and abused. If you want to know why what you said was not a good idea I suggest that the conversation is continued in your thread and not here, as the last thing we need here is another arguement thread. That make sense? Freddy

I think it was put there (and I am sure ron will correct me if I am wrong) because, if you were to be investigated for shooting pidgeons in your back garden, you reason of "to protect crops" would not stand up against the law as when in your garden they are not damaging any crops. That I think would be the reason for your quote being included. Does that makes sense? If not I will try to explain better. ATB Freddy

Worth more than 2 pence i think Scuba. Well at least there are a few like minded members on here anyway. Those who don't want to see younger members being given a hard time. Yes they will make mistakes and do silly things but it would seem that so do some of the more mature (well aged anyway) members. So lets try to help those people who make mistakes to understand why their mistake was wrong and show them how to do it right. And lets stop just hurling abuse at them until they leave and go and get themselves into trouble for doing something wrong. Something that we could have helped them

Hahahaha brilliant mate wouldn't like to try that either. Yeh I wondered that about a bipod too. I hve put of buying one so far as I spend most of my time (and money) at uni so thought I would wait till I could, A afford it and B use it more. ATB Freddy

Aaron you need to listen to Timelord and Scuba. They know what they are talking about and you do need to put a scope or some other form of sight on your gun in orger for you to be as humane as possible. Even shotguns have a sight on them and they have a much wider kill radius than the 5.5 or so mm of your airgun pellet (assuming .22 here obviously .177 is even smaller). So please heed advice and make sure your prey does not suffer needlessly. ATB Freddy

I agree. It's great to see all the younger members on here. I wish I had air rifles when I was their age. But it is true something needs to be done about all the petty arguing and all the stupid posts being put up. I'm not suggesting anything too drastic, but a few warnings here and there might just put it in perspective for them. I have moderated and admined a few different forums and know what a hard and time consuming job it is, but unfortunately it has to be done so that our sport is shown in the right light. We don't want the crazy ideas and misinformed comments of a few people to jeo

Welcome punter. Its true you have to start somewhere. Havn't done any dog work myself but I met someone not long ago who does and am looking forward to going out with him someday. ATB Freddy

That deer had a death wish. I think he got bored of waiting and thought he would go and find someone who would get it over with before it dies of old age.

I am assuming that the paper was recycled too. Or that you are at least going to pulp it up and reform it into another sheet to be used again. Can't have any waste now can we. Damn good shooting though mate, would certainly outshoot me. Need to get me a bipod for that extra bit of stability. Oh and cheers for the heads up on the magazine, my last rifle had that problem. No idea what rifle it was though, a friend of the family lent it to me and now I have forgotten what it was. This it may have been an air arms though. Cheers Freddy

Nice one mate. I am revisiing at the moment for exams at uni and this sounds like a top idea. Only problem is finding somewhere to sit where i can have my laptop and see the outside world too.

Good plan mate. But keep up the good work. I havn't got a bird table anyway and I would like to see a woody try and eat from one of the hanging nut feeders we have. Let us know your thoughts on it anyway. I am definately looking at one for when I get my next rifle. Cheers Freddy

I don't think I have heard a bad review on any Air Arms gun recently. They must be doing something right. I am growing to like the 410 more and mre by the second. Cheers for the review Scuba. ATB Freddy

Personally I love the idea behind the new technological rifles. The Airwolf MVT to name the current technology leader. But I think that i would spend a few days fiddling with all the new little gadgets until i found a setting that I liked and there it would stay never to be changed again. I do like the idea of the built in shot counter and chrono though but again not essential just another toy. From where I stand it seems to depend on what you are in to. FT shooters will love the tech as fits in with their spot well. For those of us out hunting we need to have as little to go wrong a

How much do I wish I could make something like that. One day when I have some money I will have to get me one of those.

That is a good question steve. Anyone know the answer to that as could solve alot of peoples problems. I'll second that, I loved it over there..... beautiful country... and I got to fire ridiculous amounts of ordnance n get paid for it Brilliant Jef I want to get paid for that.
