I have read about the border terriers being slow starters and thought this was rubbish as i had a demon of a bitch who was bushing and catching at 7 months old (rabbits + rats) she then went on to be a good dog below ground too her life was ended bt a staff at 3 yeas old,i was devestated my other bitch pictured was not showing any interest even at 9 months old and i was thinking of getting her a pet home. she is nearly 3 now and has turned out to be excellent and everything i could want. glad my girlfriend at the time stopped me from moving her on..

ALOT OF TIMES WHEN A DOG COMES UNDER OR OVER SHOT IT IS DUE TO BEING TOO TIGHTLY BRED. I DO NOT THINK IT WILL SHOW DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE LAKELAND AND THE RUSSELL ARE NOT CLOSELY RELATED AT ALL. AS A MATTER OF A FACT THEY ARE DIFFERENT BREEDS OF TERRIER. THIS BREEDING WOULD BE CONSIDERED A 50/50 OUTCROSS AND THE LITTER WOULD SHOW HYBRID VIGOR. IF THEY ARE BOTH GOOD WORKERS, I SAY BREED EM. If you have not ordered your gun yet ,you should not have any problem getting a left handed stock. Also my choice for rabbits is .22 not saying 1.77 cant do it its just my choice
